Wazzup Pilipinas!
"Let me not then die ingloriously and without a struggle, but let me first do some great things that shall be told among men hereafter" - Homer, The Iliad
SAF members were ambush by armed men of almost a thousand in numbers. They didn't panic they crouched, made a defensive position and fought back. They stood their ground and fought till their last breath and bullet.
If you are interested to see these soldiers' faces, and a really great tribute to them, you may want to check out the artwork at the PNPA Academics building at Camp Castaneda of Silang, Cavite.
There was a project immortalizing our SAF 44 heroes through a canvass painting by one of our national artists from University of the Philippines (UP) Erehwon Arts under the supervision of Mr. Villavicencio and Mr. Raffy Benitez in cooperation with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the PROTECT/COPS under the leadership of PSSUPT Gilbert DC Cruz.
The project was unveiled on March 14, 2015 during the 35th PNPA Alumni Homecoming @ PNPA Academics Building, Camp Castaneda, Silang Cavite.
This is a most fitting way to pay tribute to the gallantry of the "SAF 44". Let us all join hands in support of those who are seeking and fighting for "Truth & Justice" re: The Mamasapano Massacre.
However, more than gratitude and mural offering, kailangan maparusahan ang nagpabaya at totoong may sala! Bigyan hustisya ang SAF 44. Kailangan nila ng katarungan.
It has been one year already and yet it is still unclear who we should penalize for such a disaster.
I salute the SAF 44, they are brave men who sacrifice their lives not because of politics but to save the lives of innocent civilians, killing Marwan is a major victory for the people around the whole world and not only for the Philippines. Mission accomplish that is their mission to be proud of, to their families my condolence and be proud of you son, brother and father who are a true hero's not only there but around the world because they were able to stop Marwan of killing innocent people he will not able to kill anymore.
