Wazzup Pilipinas!
The Oriental Palace Seafood Restaurant and Banquet Hall located at Scout Gandia corner Tomas Morato, Barangay Laging Handa in Quezon City is quite new since it's only on February 2, 2015 when they first opened their doors to customers. But they are definitely not newbies in the food industry as the owners have a long history of food artisanship. The owners have plenty of experience running respectable restaurants recognized for their superb culinary masterpieces.
You should know that everything was started by the Chua family's patriarch in 1978, Oriental Palace traces its roots to Wah Yuen (Chinese Garden), a small noodle and dimsum shop across the Love Bus station in Escolta. Chua kun, a young cook from Hong Kong, with a passion for good food and excellent cooking, established the shop with the dream of sharing authentic Chinese food to diners in Manila. Known for their flavorful dimsum, homemade noodles, and traditionally prepared Peking duck, this shop quickly became the go restaurant for the local Chinese community as well as for Filipino families from all over the metro.
I'm proud to say that this is not my first time to visit the restaurant since I was among the few selected bloggers who were invited to try out their fabulous feasts, especially their various dim sums, when they were just a few weeks old. You may want to read my previous article so you would have an idea of their other specialty dishes and dimsum.
The owners could still remember me when I came in to join them for this second bloggers event. Since I'm from Pasig, their place is quite far from me so I was not able to return to them for a follow-up meal. But you should also know that since I'm a blogger, we get to be invited to plenty of restaurants so even though the meals at Oriental Palace were so memorable, there are still too many restaurants out there that we haven't tried yet.
Of course, I couldn't refuse an invitation to return and try their new set meals. It's what we live for as bloggers, the chance to be among the lucky ones to try for the first time something new in the market.

Oriental Palace brings fresh and delicious food to us through their perfect understanding of balance, made possible only through years and years of experience. This is like their version of Toasted Siopao but a lot better. Please don't take my word for it. Drop by Oriental Palace and you'll probably thank me immediately after.
Oriental Palace serves the best Steamed Crab with Sticky Rice especially for the Chinese New Year season. You'll feel sorry if you missed it. Hindi nakakasawa!!!
The restaurant also has the Whole Sea Cucumber with Australian Abalone - a very rare treat you'll see in restaurants.
They proudly have the Deep Fried Pigeon - Wow! This is the rarest dish I have seen. I have never been to a restaurant that serves pigeons!!!! A colleague joked they may have been the pigeons used during wedding banquets. Lol! I don't think so.
Why is Oriental Palace's Famous Suckling Pig Cold Cuts so famous? It's crispy skins and tender meat are undoubtedly great enough to eat even with any special sauce. I think I need to forget my diet plans for this year.
OMG! The Steamed Live Twin Lapu-Lapu of Oriental Palace did not stand a chance against our group of foodies all raving for the delicious dishes served to us. We promise to behave soon after we've done eating up everything on the plate. If only the fish bones were also edible. Lol!
This will really make you wanna sing "Rock Lobster!!!!" The Steamed Live Rock Lobster of Oriental Palace exemplifies gastronomical adventure to the max!!! Nothing beats chowing down on these delightful treats fit for a king!!!
It may look like dessert but this Sauteed Scallop with Celery Black Fungus and Brocolli - correct me if I'm wrong as I've lost track of my other senses when my belly was already almost full, is truly a feast beyond ordinary.
Oriental Palace will make you want to redefine your taste and familiarity in soups. Their Sharksfin Soup with Dry Scallop Bamboo Pith deserves an award for being so uniquely appetizing. It makes you wanna shout out to the whole world that you've found your favorite soup at last!!
They serve a lot of refreshing Cold Drinks choices that it will be easy to find a favorite among the many listed in their menu.
Do you want to know the secret why Oriental Palace is a favorite dining destination? The secret lies in the care that is put in creating each dish. Mr. Chua only picks the freshest catch of the day from the markets and guides the chefs in preparing the dishes with perfection.
You'll discover that the combination of flavors compliments and does not overpower each other's unique taste. Oriental Palace is definitely the place to go for authentic and delicious Chinese food. Wazzup Pilipinas will definitely recommend this restaurant to all its readers.
