Passion for art and theater, this is what Artistang Artlets, the Official Theater Guild of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Santo Tomas, believes in. This organization has always been active in serving the Thomasian community since 1980 by staging plays that mirror Thomasian values.
To celebrate its 35th year, Artistang Artlets proudly presents, “PANACEA” a piece adapted from Danielle Joyce Factora’s “PWD: Puso with Disabilities." This production is headed by the guild’s beloved alumni.
The production entails the story of six different individuals that are looking to cure the various disabilities love has brought upon them. It aims to ask, which is more important when truly loving someone: following one’s heart or mind?
Original “Miss Saigon” cast member and acclaimed TV actress, Ms. Isay Alvarez Seña is welcomed back on the Artistang Artlets stage for this production. Other cast members include Aj Carag, Kris Andres, Xi Ramos, Jey Amurao, John Emmanoel Moran, Roi Paolo Calilong, Mates Salviejo, Jonathan Montes, Nicole Manlulo, Andrea Padilla, Josh Sef Balburias, and Steve Michael Moore.
Directed by Gene Maninang and produced by Therese Gracielle de Guzman and Karla Angela Tajon, PANACEA is set to run on December 3, 4 and 5, 2015 with time slots at 3pm and 8pm at the Girl Scout of the Philippines Auditorium, 901, Padre Faura St. Ermita Manila. Ticket price is at P500.
