Mimaropa stands for Mindoro (Oriental and Occidental), Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. These five (5) provinces and two (2) component cities make up Mimaropa and have acknowledged full support and participation in the first-ever Mimaropa Festival and its stand-in events. It just so happens that Occidental Mindoro is also celebrating their founding anniversary so they were not able to participate at the festival.

The Mimaropa Festival is spearheaded by the Provincial Tourism, Investment and Enterprise Development Office (PTIEDO) of Oriental Mindoro. Everyone was in full support for the making of "The Next BIG THING in the Philippines.

Next year, it is expected for the next host province to organize the event and make it even bigger and of international standards, but we were informed that one of the provinces has already volunteered for 2017 as the next host who promises to make it grander than ever.

Who will be the next host of the Mimaropa Festival for 2016? That would be something to look forward to and we would surely want to be there again.
