As technology moves, new trends emerge. High call volumes in today’s businesses have put forward higher requirements for headsets to have long time wearing comfort, excellent noise cancellation and durability at an affordable price.
Addasound Denmark A/S, global top headset manufacturer and headset provider of wearable intelligent voice and unified communication devices, can help us meet the said demands. The woman behind the Philippine office, namely Country Representative Loren Remo Aguilar, invited selected members of the media to an afternoon of coffee and snacks on November 17, 2015 at 1pm in Ascott Hotel, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The event introduced us to the excellently crafted audio solutions developed by Addasound whose technology offers the latest state-of-the-art voice solutions led by an award winning team from Denmark, a global leader in sound technology.
Addasound Philippines mainly targets the call center and BPO industries for being the companies that are most;y using the headsets. Though there are other brands offering the same products, Addasound boast of being more affordable but of equal quality.
There was a product presentation showcasing the latest technology in advance noise-cancelling and an actual presentation of the headsets. Loren also mentioned the history and origin of the company, some of their product offerings and promos, including their distributors namely Ardent Networks and Wordtext Systems, Inc. (who signed up with Addasound only last November 1).
Just a handful of media were present making the event very intimate and effective as we could easily understand the presentation. It may not be as lavish as the other events we are accustomed in attending but the significant points about Addasound and their products were delivered with ease while we were having our snacks.
Brewed coffee and three kinds of snacks were served to members of the media at the cozy conference room of Ascott hotel BGC. The event was held at the 8th floor of the hotel just near their new office.
Loren also shared some personal achievements during her initial days with Addasound where she recalls being dared to sell 50 units but was able to sell almost 20 times more. Her story was quite inspirational and maybe as impressive as her Linkedin account because she was noticed, and later on became the very first employee of Addasound in the Philippines.
I can see and feel her determination and the will power to excel in her chosen field. Right now she may be working as an all-around employee shuffling from marketing, sales, inventory and even delivery, but soon, as the brand grows and her sales multiply, she would eventually be the head of hundreds if not thousands of employees all working for her at their bigger and better Philippine office.
I also got a token for being one of the early birds at the event. I was lucky that there was a route going to the venue away from the problematic road routes caused by the APEC 2015 traffic rerouting. There was also some raffle prizes but unfortunately my name was not picked from the fishbowl as one of the winners.
Addasound's tagline is "Sound changing the world" and with its products priced a lot more reasonable compared to its competitors like Plantronics, Jabra and Sennheiser, they might just really change the way the world listens to sound.
But who's stopping the competing brands to lower their price or come out with better products? The brands would definitely want to impress or be equally competitive to keep existing clients and attract new customers. In the end, it's the consumer that becomes the winner.
Some photos were grabbed from Addasound Facebook page but more photos will be uploaded soon at the Facebook page of Wazzup Pilipinas, and a video coverage will be also available soon at our YouTube and Dailymotion channels.
