Wazzup Pilipinas!
U-Hop has tied up with a US-based technology solutions company, Click Labs, to reintegrate its systems and expand the services it can offer to its members.
Click Labs has designed and developed an app named “Tookan”, its 3rd SaaS (Software as a Service) product. It is an online system designed for businesses managing mobile personnel, deliveries and services. It is a system that makes workflows more efficient and is a simple answer to the core business operations often involving multiple stakeholders.
Through Tookan, managers and personnel can monitor all the day’s activities and tasks. The system provides a live map view of all mobile personnel, with specific corresponding information including the assigned driver, destination and client.
The system logs in all of the tasks, including those from the previous days, so everything is archived with efficiency and accuracy.
It features an alert function so everyone is notified once a task has changed or if it has been completed. It also has a messenger function so you can talk to all online managers and personnel.
Tookan does away with the conventional operations so you can say goodbye to your old-school spreadsheets, voice calls and the many, many paper works.
Click Labs’ major clients include Coca-Cola and Capital One Banks. In the Philippines, U-Hop will be its very first partner, and their tie-up is specifically tailored to the needs of U-Hop members.
“Young population, high demand for smart phones, rising disposable income and low competition,” are among the reasons Click Labs partnered with U-Hop, according to Click Labs CEO Samar Singla.
Traditionally, the Tookan app allows U-Hop to run its shuttle-sharing service more efficiently. With Tookan, U-Hop has a very hands-on monitoring of all the shuttles carrying passengers.
But Tookan’s system allows U-Hop to do more.
“We want Tookan’s technology to be integrated and interconnected with all our on-demand services and products,” U-Hop CEO Marvin dela Cruz said.
How will it work?
For example, a U-Hop member wants some food delivered from a restaurant that does not have a delivery service. U-Hop, aided by Tookan, can access different food establishments and using its partner vehicles, can be the instant delivery service. Using Tookan, these kinds of services will be more efficient.
In its vision of inclusive growth, U-Hop believes that with a more streamlined system, it can help small and medium enterprises (SME) especially those from the provinces to deliver their products across regions.
U-Hop aims to help the Agri-business sector, especially because it’s the sector that needs the most support.
“Just think of the farmers and other regional products such as pili in Bicol, pastillas in Bulacan or durian of Davao; these small businesses don’t have the network and logistics capacity to compete in the market,” dela Cruz said, “with Tookan, we can expand their business and enrich trade and manufacturing in the provinces.”
As for the public, Tookan not only expands the choices of products and services, it also makes public access to these much easier.
“The public should benefit from technology, this is our social responsibility and our contribution to nation building,” dela Cruz said.
