Wazzup Pilipinas! We send our heartfelt and warmest congratulations to Skippy's Bar and Grill for celebrating their 2nd year in the restaurant business.
The restaurant has offered a piece of Australia to both their Filipino and foreign customers throughout their two years of existence at the Forum building located in Bonifacio Global City. Owners Steve and Cristina Bird couldn't be more than proud they're still serving every mate out there with their dynamic Aussie resto experience.
My fellow bloggers and I got invited to join their 2nd year anniversary celebration on the night of August 15 Saturday where they also served some new dishes they will soon offer to their customers. I'm sure their loyal customers would be extremely happy to indulge on new dishes to satisfy their palate.
Restaurants really have to keep introducing new or special dishes to keep everyone's interest at a high knowing they would always find something new in the menu. It's a great idea to occasionally introduce new choices even for just a limited time, and to keep the favorites but lose the less in demand so that the customers would know the management listens to their cravings.
Among the dishes they served that night, I was biased to the Omelette Pizza since I have always been a pizza lover. The Shepherd's Pie came in second. Everything else came smacked in third. That means every dish was a winner! But don't just take my word for it, try them yourselves!

Skipping our way inside for the 2nd anniversary party! |
Balloons, cheerfully laughing and chattering crowd, live band singing, drinks overflowing, sports games on our favorite cable channel, several awesome food choices, etc..are all the makings of a wonderful night perfectly fit for a party-until-you-drop experience.
Must have this again when I return. |
Yum! Yum! Yum! Loved that cheese! |
The healthier option of veggies! |
Wow! Cute pie samplers! |
A piece of Australia is rockin' that night! |
They are definitely rockin' on their second year, and thanking all their loyal customers and friends for
all the special moments they've spent at the bar.
What's my name again? Too sumptuous that you'll also forget your address! |
Who wants more of this? Me, me, me!!! |
The quick disappearing Omelette Pizza... Oh, no! Where did it go? |
Piping hot inside, the Lamb Shepherd's Pie was to die for! |
Exciting to pop open this Beef Pot Pie |
Cheesecake topped with vanilla ice cream and cherry!!! Couldn't get enough of this heavenly dessert |
Heavy loaded food samplers, but I was just too full to come back to the buffet |
I also saw the almost spanking new billiard table that was renovated to rejuvenate back to its pristine condition. The billiard table is one of the attractions of the bar aside from their great food and many choices for drinks. It's always a special treat to have one of these around so customers can have multiple things to do aside form just watching sports games on TV and hanging around the bar drinking bottles of their favorite beers.
Skippy's Billiard table is back, all new cloth, finish and balls |
I took the initiative to go around the resto and take photos of my fellow bloggers and some of the resto crew wearing the cowboy hat. It would be a great addition to the many photos I took from the party.
Are there cowboys in Australia? There must be! |
They had a live band (
Jerome Abalos Dark Orchestra ) playing a few songs throughout the event and until open mic time, of which I was unfortunately no longer around to appreciate. But I've seen the photos so I can imagine what it was like.
Wazzup, mates?! Just some of the customers enjoying the anniversary night |
Lala lalalalalala (can you hear the music?) |
All ready to laugh out loud and party until the break of dawn? |
Too bad I had to leave early for another event scheduled at 8 pm. But I regret leaving the party that night when it took me several hours stuck in traffic. These days, even Saturday nights are not free from traffic congestions. Needless to say, I didn't make it on time at my next event so I just went home feeling gloomy and tired from all that hours waiting in traffic. Bu no worries, Skippy's Bar and Grill is like one of my many second homes, and the owners are friendly enough to accommodate us again anytime. This is why this kind of friendship should be reciprocated.
Congratulations again, Skippy's Bar and Grill! You'll definitely be celebrating a lot more years, and we will always be there as one of your loyal friends.
