Kasama sa pagkilos ang Violence Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabayan (RAM), Anti Drugs Advocate, Guardians, Motorcycle Phils Federation, United Defense Manufacturing Corp, Progun, Pinoy Predator Riders at SmxPhils.

July 21, 2015 press conference
Alex III, Matino St., Quezon City
The West Philippine Sea Coalition will hold a rally this coming Saturday on July 25 at Roxas Blvd from 9am-12nn. It will deliver 3 messages:
1. Support for the Philippine legal offensive before an Arbitral Tribunal at the Hague against China’s illegal 9-dash line.
2. Condemn China’s continuing acts of aggression and disinformation that it is being victimized by the Philippines.
3. Decry the slow pace of the AFP’s modernization;
An important ruling from the Tribunal is imminent favoring the PH view that international law must prevail in resolving divergent maritime claims. It must be the common language by which to resolve all conflicts.
China’s fictional 9-dash line claims historical right to justify grabbing the EEZ’s of countries around the South China Sea, and will likely reject an unfavorable judgment from The Hague.
The WPS Coalition condemns China’s cruel denial of our fishermen’s access to their fishing grounds; its provocative harassment of resupply ships for the RPS Sierra Madre at Ayungin Shoal; its brazen occupancy, reclamation and construction of reefs and shoals in the West PH Sea; and its intimidating behavior in the vicinity of the Reed or Recto Bank.
We strongly support the view that the AFP’s Modernization by our government should be driven by a strong sense of purpose and urgency. It is moving “too little, too late.” Reported procurement anomalies persist at a time when national security is on the ropes. There is a lack of cohesion and urgency in building credible deterrence.
The coalition lauds the legal offensive to peacefully settle the issue of maritime rights. The trouble is that China does not appreciate it; in fact, it threatens us all the more for doing it.
The people want defiant action from the government that demonstrates firm resolve to push back China by all means possible.
For example:
a.) organize an international army of information warriors to expose the pirate of the South China Sea and sink its lies with the truth;
b.) mobilize an international alliance of sovereign people to gradually stop buying “made in China” and switching to substitutes made in friendly countries.
c.) protect ourselves from China’s unreliable quality and death grip on our society and economy particularly smuggled drugs, minerals and human labor; control of the grid; and dubious information technology and communications systems.
d.) Participate in international conferences to counter China’s brazen disinformation that it is being “victimized” by the PH.
e.) Quickly build up the Coast Guard and BFAR’s interception and maritime law enforcement capabilities to counter China’s salami-slice and cabbage strategies in the West PH Sea.
f.) Stop all forms of corruption to help fund the AFP’s professionalization and modernization, and harness other funding schemes to pay for our external defense buildup.
Join us on July 25 at Roxas Boulevard. Inang Laya NEEDS YOU to stand by her side in her hour of need to stop China’s bullying and its piracy in the West Ph Sea. This is not just for now. Like China, we must think and act long-term; for as long as it takes for right to win over might.
