FlipTrip.PH Holds Sun & Soul Kick-Off Party at Z Hostel

Wazzup Pilipinas!

It looks like summer is extending way past August for we are soon visiting sunny Zambales on August 8 and 9 for the Sun & Soul music festival of FlipTrip.PH, an online booking platform that makes it easier for people to travel and discover the Philippines. The site connects travelers to local experts in different destinations within the country.

Sun & Soul music festival is a celebration of the return of the South Swell, the end of summer, in preparation for the coming of surfers, old and young, who flock to Zambales at this time of the year. The event is a celebration of surf, arts and music. It is a gathering of creative souls out to celebrate life. It is not just another music festival, but a soulful weekend for kindred spirits united by the love of travel.

A retreat and festival in one, Sun & Soul will take place in the quiet sanctuary that is Liwliwa, Zambales. Explorers can take part in workshops for surfing, poetry, arts, music and other creative pursuits amidst the beautiful mountains and beaches of Zambales. Participants can meet fellow travelers and immerse themselves in the wonderful community of Liwa as they go on a road trip to a paradise where there are no strangers.

"Where there are no strangers" ...hhhmmm...sounds familiar? Yup! The venue in Zambales would be at The Circle Hostel,  a chain of budget friendly eco-hostels in the Philippines. It is a sanctuary for the artsy and the adventurous where they can express themselves freely among each other and on the walls, pathways, stairs and almost everywhere.

The kick-off party for the Sun & Soul event was held on the night of July 17, 2015 at the Z Hostel in Makati. The three founders, namely April Cuenca, Ragde Falcis and Jackie Yap, were all present to welcome all friends and partners at the rooftop of the hostel where Z Hostel co-owner Cao Ocampo, the Chief of Good Vibes, was also mingling with the party peeps.

Mike and Gabs of the Seagrass Roots Movement were also there, as well as Ziggy of The Circle Hostel and a representative from Waves for Water (didn't get his name). Smartbro was also there as a sponsor supporting the event. Thank you also to Nescafe for the couple of tetra instant coffees.

I've heard of a flipped classroom where the educators go beyond the traditional way of teaching and apply technology to help them facilitate training tasks more effectively and fun at the same time. So this probably means FlipTrip.PH is offering flipped trips (travel and tours) that is a level higher or alternate to the common expectations of standard travel booking sites. Their websites says they've  "got everything prepped for your trip to go. Journey smart and safe knowing your trip has been planned for travelers, by travelers."

The site also says "Experience a Philippines like never before. Explore off the beaten path destinations and local hideaways" which is actually promising since many would want to reach a destination that is not as exploited as the common getaways of tourists and travelers.

We really need more people who highly promote the country through their innovative and world-changing ideas. This team of two young women and a man, matched with their own specialties that complement each others skills and passion are appreciated especially by travel enthusiasts who would benefit a lot from their innovative online travel booking service.

They are pretty new in the business, and only recently made their soft launch last August 2014, but we expect a lot from the FlipTrip.PH team as they were actually among the 10 winning tech startups of the IdeaSpace 2014 competition that were handpicked by Manny V. Pangilinan and his Board of Directors from First Pacific Co. Ltd.

There is so much beauty in the Philippines that it would be a waste not to share it with the rest of the world. Thus FlipTrip.PH team has made it their personal mission to guide travellers to discover and explore the Philippines.

FlipTrip.PH is making Sun & Soul an exclusive event for around 80 to 150 people. Packages include accommodation, transportation, Aside from travelers, they are involving the community of Liwliwa, Zambales and getting concessionaires for the event.

With a mission to address the lack of ease and accessibility in trip planning and booking, FlipTrip.ph is improving the Philippine travel experience for every explorer and adventurer. They aim to help small businesses in local communities grow by stimulating economic development through tourism, providing locals opportunities to build better infrastructure and facilities within their province.

You should not miss this event so you can experience the flipped journey, together with the FlipTrip.PH team. Remember that you can sleep and rest well at every trip knowing they've got you covered. Go see where they will take you! You might just like it and keep coming back for more!
