I used to be so envious when I hear about colleagues or friends able to purchase properties through the help of their companies' housing loan program. This means they can afford the monthly amortization out from their salaries.

But when I heard about some entrepreneurs that were able to purchase better homes out from their profits, then I knew there was still plenty of hope for the persistent who is willing to take the risk in setting up their own business.

What really amazed me was when they also shared their strategy in earning a few more extra bucks by investing in stocks and real estate. They say if you want to gamble a little but earn big time, get into stocks, but if you really want an almost 100% sure profit, purchase properties.

Of course he was referring to houses and lots. These are investments that will not give you a hard time in enjoying the profits immediately. You'll just have to wait a few years and your investment already multiplied.

Our next tour that's part of the Vista Land Site Appreciation Tour is at Cottonwoods in Antipolo. The community offers American Country-style houses.

This is where a scene from The Legal Wife was shot where the community served as depicting Angel Locsin's home in America, as well as other movies/teleseryes where they needed an American neighborhood setting .

Another trivia: In the Bagsakan song of Gloc-9, Chito Miranda and Francis Magalona, the latter mentioned "Akoy taga Kalentong, Batang Mandaluyong na ngayun nakatira sa Antipolo"

Francis Magalona was actually referring to his home at Cottonwoods.

Tip: There's a house available for sale which is just literally at the back of the Magalona's Cottonwoods home. Grab it while it's still available.

The two-storey house is magnificent. I loved the light bluish color. Not too manly and a bit feminine. The lot area is huge and there's a parking space for your car. The windows are all glass windows, and at the back there's a sliding door which leads to the backyard. It has a wide enough veranda that can fit more than enough people for a small party.

Inside are very comfy sofas in the living area where it would be very cozy to read books or watch TV, or just slouch away while we swipe on our smartphones and tablets. Beside is the dining area with a table that can seat 6 members of the family. There's plenty of space to move around the dining area as you can see from the photo above.

The kitchen area has a wide countertop that is very useful when preparing meals for parties. I would often complain if I don't have enough room to chop and slice in my kitchen so the space offered by the kitchen is a welcomed amenity.

The bathrooms are so spacious too. As you can see, there's a washing machine placed at one of the bathrooms for your laundry requirements.

The master bedroom is not so extravagantly prepared, but the queen size bed beckons us to try it. This room has a bathroom in it so we don't need to go downstairs to answer nature's call.

Lots of pillows of different sizes. Makes you want to hug one or two. The next room has a double-deck bed that's perfect for the kids to share a room while they are young.

Aside from the master bedroom and two other rooms, this house has a fourth bedroom meant for hired help.

There was supposed to be another property visit but we lacked the time to visit Maia Alta - a 70 hectare development with Italian-inspired dream homes that are within the average family's budget.

The property is also located in Antipolo, Rizal. But due to the unfavorable traffic congestion, and also the rain, we decided to skip it.

Aside from the exhilarating views and a sense of tranquility, the Maia Alta community also offers captivating rolling terrain and an unobstructed valley view of Laguna de Bay.

The communities are all luxurious enough to be our dream homes. But don't just take our word for it, come visit their properties personally so you would really appreciate the beauty and sound investment that they offer.

Don't take too long deciding if you want to purchase a property as they sell easily and their values immediately goes double or triple after a year or two. You'll regret missing out on these awesome opportunities.
