Mazda Introduces Five New Generation Models with SKYACTIV Technology and KODO Design.

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Mazda Motor Corporation's business in the Philippines has been steadily growing since they established partnership with Berjaya Auto Philippines in January 2013.

Last year, they sold a record 3,632 units, over 50% growth from the previous year. As you may recall, their CX-5 and Mazda6 won Car of The Year from the Car Awards Group, and Mazda’s popularity is rapidly growing in this country.

This year’s Mazda Collection is housed within the new Mazda Global Corporate Identity design standard.

There were a total of 13 all new or upgraded Mazda products with the latest Kodo design language and Skyactiv technology content spread wall to wall in this hall.
Despite the stagnation in the bigger auto markets in the ASEAN region, the mass motorization of the Philippines is just beginning, with strong economic growth underpinned by a young and huge population.

No doubt, the Philippines is one of the most active auto markets among emerging countries around the globe.

Mazda is making its commitment to the Philippines stronger than ever before. In the motor show, they introduced their five latest new generation models, all of which have been praised globally thanks to their SKYACTIV technology and KODO design.

First, the all-new Mazda2, named Car of the Year in Japan last year. The Mazda2 has been acclaimed as a model that breaks down conventional ideas about compact cars. In every area, it achieves unprecedented levels of performance and quality.

This model will capture the hearts of many Filipino customers and help them rediscover the pleasures of the automobile.

Next, another star of of the show was the all-new MX-5 Miata, revealed for the first time in the ASEAN region.

Going back to the original concept of light-weight sports, the model completely embodies Mazda’s “Jinba-ittai”—oneness between horse and rider—joy of driving using their latest technologies.

Furthermore, they have updated versions of the CX-5 and Mazda6 here, and they have newly added the wagon to the Mazda6 range.

In all their new models, they further refined every factor in line with their “Sustainable Zoom-Zoom” policy. The policy is, as you know, aimed at achieving the best balance between “joy of driving” and “environmental and safety features.”

What needs to be emphasized here is the safety features on these models.

Mazda strongly believes that all safety features should be human-centered. Human has a capability to drive safely if she or he recognize circumstances correctly and respond properly. Therefore, their i-Activesense system prioritize to support driver's recognition.

The new-generation headlamp system, Adaptive LED headlights, are standard equipment on most model grades.

This headlamp system enables you to drive with high-beams on at all times, without dazzling preceding vehicles or oncoming cars in the opposite lane.

Consequently, their collision avoidance support technologies were dramatically evolved, especially for driving at night and on the highway.

This is just an example of SKYACTIV technology which has been getting seamless evolution in the "Sustainable Zoom Zoom" direction.

I'm quite sure that all of their excellent products and services will enrich the lives of people who love outstanding driving pleasure with social consideration for earth and future generation.

They remembered and paid tribute to the legendary race driver, father of motorsports in the Philippines and the founder of the Miata Cup race series, the late great Pocholo Ramirez, or more affectionately known as Tito Poch – His Miata was a labour of love, for a group of people, over many months, to locate and to restore, and bring the Tito Poch’s Miata here to remember and celebrate his racing passion.

Mark Bumgarner, the country most promising up and coming designer, showed off his latest interpretation on his 2015 Mazda Collection with a 20-piece runway fashion show, which included models from COSMO 2014 8 sexiest models.

Congratulations to the organiser Alvin and Jason Uy in cooperation with Worldbex for this greatest celebration of all in the Philippines auto industry – the 2015 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). This show is indeed a celebration of driving.
