PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2015
Wazzup Pilipinas!
The new year is the start of the travel season once again. I'm betting most of us are all planning our very own travel itinerary for this year. Thus the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) Travel and Tour Expo held last February 13 to 15 was a superb effort to help out those travel enthusiasts or vacationers to book their trip as early as February this year.
Lots of savings via discounted flight and packages from many airlines, hotels, travel agencies and tour providers were offered to the further convenience of our travellers. The long queues at every booth was an indication that the event was very successful and shows how eager people are on traveling especially the Filipinos.
Surprisingly, I've seen more people flocking the local or domestic destinations rather than the foreign countries. But that was only during the morning of the first day. I'm sure the foreign destinations had their equal share of patrons who lined up for travel towards countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Guam, Japan, Taiwan and even as far as Europe and Britain.
With over 844 booths composed of 327 exhibitors spread across 16,230 square meters exhibition floors of the SMX Convention Center, it is the biggest travel event ever. The Expo also holds merchandisers, food concessionaires and other travel-related companies.
The program had an opening production number from the San Pablo Dance Troupe, followed by the opening remarks of Travel Tour Expo chairman Marciano Ragaza III, and the introduction of the Keynote Speaker by PTAA President Maria Michelle Victoria.
Recently appointed DOT Undersecretary Bong Bengzon and TPB COO Chicoy Enerio were among the special guests at the event.
The Tourism Promotions Boar of the Department of Tourism is doing a splendid job of co-organizing this annual event to encourage more travelers to patronize the tourism efforts of the country.
On the first day, an opening program was held immediately after the ribbon cutting ceremonies attended by key officials of the Department of Tourism and other organizers and partners of the 22nd PTAA Travel Tour Expo.
Congratulations to the many exhibitors who were able to sell several trips and tours for many visitors of the event. Year after year, the PTAA Travel Tour Expo is the biggest and much-awaited travel event that many wouldn't dare miss because of the many great deals and packages you can get during the three-day expo.
TTE was conceptualized by the PTAA in 1994 to unite the travel industry and give Filipinos the opportunity to experience seeing their own country and the world, hassle-free. It has since evolved into a much-awaited annual industry event especially with the introduction of competitive airfares and new destinations in recent years. In February 2014, more than 70,000 visitors came to grab the best travel deals.
Unfortunately I have missed to explore the ptaa-travel-tour-expo. After reading this article I have an idea it is great source for entertainment. In these days I was busy to enjoy the grand canyon bus tours. Now, I have an idea about this grand tour and I would say here i will definitely avail the chance and must attend it next year. I note down this expo tour in my diary that reminds me and will never forget me as my next.
