When they said business should be taken seriously, it doesn't really mean we have to forget having a good time while working hard on our goals towards rewarding careers and greater earning opportunities. We should be enjoying every minute at work or at our own business especially when we finally reap the rewards of our efforts. It should continue every single moment of our lives to make work a healthier environment for all us.
We believe that when we make business more enjoyable, and seemingly just like a hobby that we enjoy doing everyday, we can achieve and produce more quality results. Imagine working 8 hours or more at a place where everyone is in a harmonious relationship with each other, minus all the social and "political" issues and grievances. Now, that's a workplace where everyone will look forward to going everyday, and may even become the reason to stay longer to work overtime on our daily tasks while enjoying the more intimate bonding time with colleagues like they were pat of our family. The end result are more productive teams and high quality outputs for the companies or businesses.
These personal thoughts are our reasons why it was also overwhelming to witness a radio show where humor and family interests are incorporated in their business discussions. We're talking about "the funniest business show on Philippine radio" that should be at everyone schedule every late Sunday afternoon - "Family Business."
If you want to listen to a radio show where you will laugh out loud while learning a lot from business owners and entrepreneurs, may it be in the fields of the arts like indie films and showbizness, or moments with our remarkable leaders representing our senior citizens, then you should mark every Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm as the time to listen to Radyo Uno DZME 1530 AM.
Your friendly neighborhood Pambansang Blogger ng Pilipinas from WazzupPilipinas.com was scheduled to be interviewed at the "Family Business" radio show of Radyo UNO DZME 1530 AM last Sunday (December 21) from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. This is another radio guesting that I wouldn't want to miss since it was also an opportunity to announce to their listeners my life as a blogger turned TV host.
I brought along my son, Hezron Kyle, who at first I just wanted to show how I interact with people and how fun it is to be given guesting opportunities like these (maybe encourage him to blog too). I never anticipated that radio anchor Tito Nel Talavera will interview him, and very much amazed to see him actively respond to his questions. The quick-witted Tito Nel Talavera was surprisingly very animated even on radio maybe because the radio show is also video-streamed online over the Internet. It was fascinating to see how expressive he anchors the radio show thus encouraging his guests to comfortably participate.
What I like about the show is that they incorporate family-related discussions in relevance to business ventures. Since blogging could very well become a lucrative business when handled more professionally, it was worth the time to share my experience as a blogger and how I was able to make WazzupPilipinas.com one of the fastest growing, widely recognized and most awarded Filipino blog site in the Philippines.
It was also very interesting to listen to the efforts of our senior citizen leaders as shared by the adorable Tita Shure Manuel - who I learned can still ride a motorbike on her own even at her senior age. Tita Shure was so energetic that it is puzzling to know she's already in her senior years. She's very much involved in many activities and in fact they will be having an event for senior citizens this Monday (December 21, 2014) at 2 pm to be held at the Skydome of SM North EDSA.
Since Bart "Barter King" Abaya was on sick leave that day (after a tedious event at Pampanga), the charming Donna "Events Queen" Raquiza took over for him. Donna deserves the title of "Events Queen" since she had a lot of sponsors to thank that day - from hotels to skin care centers, she obviously rules in the events partnership scene. They were also a media partner at the same event where WazzupPilipinas.com was also requested to participate as a media partner.
Direk Dave Cecilio arrived graciously late but eagerly talked about his many upcoming projects involving the Indie films that he is directing and producing which involves stories about Sibuyan island, a story about Melchora Aquino dedicated to the senior citizens, an upcoming movie written by Tito Nel Talavera where the popular DOTA (Defense of the Ancients) game is highlighted, and his recent Watawat movie.
"Family Business" is truly the funniest business show on Philippine radio which airs every Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. There was never any dull moment with their radio anchors and fellow guests. The best thing is that they were all open to the idea of collaborating with each other. Indeed, together we can do so much more. We can help each other out in all our endeavors towards a more productive future.
