Wazzup Pilipinas!
Don't you just wish that every food around us were all "organic?" It's a healthier way of eating and living minus the harmful effects of artificial stuff that were used in the traditional way of producing the food we eat just because they are more convenient and easier to do.
If you really want to give your loved ones the best, provide them with healthier foods. You should not take them every week to a fastfood restaurant just because there's an adorable mascot. You should take them to restaurants that offer more nutritious food to keep them fit and healthy.
But what are organic food? These are food where "crops are generally grown without synthetic pesticides, artificial
fertilizers, irradiation (a form of radiation used to kill bacteria), or
biotechnology. Animals on organic farms eat organically grown feed,
aren't confined 100 percent of the time (as they sometimes are on
conventional farms), and are raised without antibiotics or synthetic
growth hormones."
We want organic food that are better for us and the environment. Such restaurants that serves organic food is
Potts Point Cafe, from the same people that gave us
The Old Spaghetti House, Grilla, Swensen's and
The Shrimp Shack.
Potts Point Cafe also has a cozy kitchen-like setting. You'll see shelves filled with decorations made to appear like what you would normally see in the kitchen. Cookbooks, condiments, water bottles, plates and jars of salt, sugar, flour and other cooking ingredients provides a relaxing ambiance like you are in a dining area situated in the kitchen.
The colors used were all Earthy like black, brown and beige to keep up with the organic theme. White of course is a neutral color that completes the comfy look of the place.
Potts Point is also about Delano Coffee - without the compromise.
"According to some research, organic foods may have higher nutritional
value than the conventional food. In the absence of pesticides and
fertilizers, plants boost their
production of the phytochemicals (vitamins and antioxidants) that
strengthen their resistance to bugs and weeds."
Potts Point Cafe
impressed us with the food they served because they were not just
healthy being organic and all, they were also amazingly delicious.
You'll keep coming back to this restaurant if you want the better
alternative to improve your health and prolong your life.

Seared Australian Grass-Fed Beef Pie with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Salad (P 345) |
The
Seared Australian Grass-Fed Beef Pie with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Salad was unlike the traditional pie preparation you will see.
It's more like a complete meal rather than just a pie.
The beef was tender and flavorful, and best eaten combined with the mashed potato and salad.

Organic Fried Buttermilk Porkchop with Apple-Maple Bread Pudding and Herbed Mashed Potatoes (P 345) |
The
Organic Fried Buttermilk Porkchop with Apple-Maple Bread Pudding and Herbed Mashed Potatoes was obviously a healthier and better version of our favorite pork chop. The dish made me rethink that pork could only be my last choice for a healthy meal.

Strawberry, Kiwi and Cream Cheese Crumpets with Hot Chocolate (P 230) |
The
Strawberry, Kiwi and Cream Cheese Crumpets with Hot Chocolate is categorized under All-Day Breakfast but could also be a sweet dessert treat. There is nothing better than fresh fruits sweetened so good that it lightens up your day. The Hot Chocolate is perfect to balance the sweet and sour taste of the strawberry and kiwi.

Butterscotch Budino with salted Caramel and Diamond Sable Cookies (P 160) |
The
Butterscotch Budino with salted Caramel and Diamond Sable Cookies was satisfactory but not really a favorite. Though this could work if it offered more of the cookies on the sides, my preference would be more on the cakes.

Oozin Ozzie Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream (P 230) |
The

|
Latte (P 130) |
But wait, there's more! You should not leave Potts Point Cafe without trying their
Delano coffees.
Delano is an independent specialty coffee roasting company supplying ethical & sustainable specialty grade coffee. From the many usual choices like latte, espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, and mocha, they also have flat white, long black and the affogato.
|
Hit Chocolate (P 140) |
My fellow blogger who does not drink coffee ordered an organic hot chocolate.
|
The Affogato (P 115) |
While I tried the
affogato, which is scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso. The bitterness of the espresso coffee is drowned by the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream. A real wake-up call for any boring coffee concoction.
Keeping it natural is the ultimate goal in the preparation of organic
food. Everything that was involved in the process from planting to
harvesting were all natural. The animals like cows were fed with nothing
but natural animal feed. Nothing artificial, nothing synthetic, all
natural.
