Wazzup Pilipinas!
I never thought your friendly neighborhood pambansang blogger will be recognized for my efforts in social media. All along I was thinking of Wazzup Pilipinas to emerge as leading and influential. The announcement came in as a surprise, and of all the days, it came on a weekend when I was so overwhelmed with many projects and deadlines. An email was going to be the one to cheer me up that day.
The email states: "Kindly see attached Congratulatory Letter from Best Choice Awards council conferring YOU as BEST CHOICE INFLUENTIAL SOCIAL MEDIA EVANGELIST. Awards ceremonies will be on July 25, 2014, 6:45PM at CROWNE PLAZA, Ortigas Avenue Ext.,Cor. Asian Development Bank Ave., Pasig City Philippines."
Was I dreaming? I've worked for several years in the IT industry for several years but I have never won an award. Recognized yes,,,,,but actually winning an award complete with trophies and plaque along with other prominent people is ...Wow!!! Fascinating!!!
After all the wards like Top Emerging Influential of 2013 down to the latest of which was the Best Filipino Community Blog Site of 2014, I never expected to wn an award that is dedicated to me instead.
They describe the award as given to an individual that has made an outstanding contributions to the practice of the management profession, and who has demonstrated leadership and initiative management concepts, techniques, practices or services.
The Best Choice Awards selection process has been perfected with a third party research firm to ensure that the only best choice service providers are the winners within an industry. This is the only organization that conducts research that surveys both the consumer and the business community with statistical accuracy. The research method determines all service providers, products and individuals ultimately selects the Best Choice, and establishes the winner within each industry.
Thank you to the Best choice Awards 2014 awards committee for the recognition. I will forever cherish this as another unforgettable moment in my life. Thank you to all my supporters, to all the PRs and events organizers that continue to include me as one of their choice bloggers, to all the colleges and universities, companies and organizations that I partnered with.
I am grateful also to all my fellow bloggers who have in one way or another contributed their time, effort and skills to become a part of Wazzup Pilipinas as one of our correspondents, or as among the attendees of the events that I organize or facilitate. Wazzup Pilipinas will not be successful right now if I was all alone in this advocacy. Thank you and Mabuhay ang Wazzup Pilipinas!
