Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio Product Review

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I recently got my hand on this cool portable keyboard that's so thin yet durable enough to perhaps lasts longer than what I've been currently using.

I used to have a foldable keyboard that I bring around everywhere I go. I attach it to my tablet so I can work on my writing more comfortably even while traveling, or during certain times while while for an event to start, break time during conferences or seminars, or even while at a coffee shop drinking my favorite brewed concoction and eating a slice of cake.

Logitech makes an extensive line of keyboard cases for all variants of iPad and one of their newest offerings is the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio. I was pleased with the look, feel, comfort, and protection that it provides.

It was so easy to attach it and configure on my tablet. I got it working after a few seconds and it tested out fine even after several hours of usage. It's more practical to use it because of its durable rubber material that is said to be shock resistant rather than my foldable keyboard whose body is made of softer rubber, which incidentally has some numbers at the numeric keypad area already not working. It may have been caused by the multiple times it has been folded and unfolded but for sure this will no longer be fixable.

The only advantage of using a foldable keyboard is the fact that it occupies very little space as compared to the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio gets an A+ for having a well design. Access to every port is easy without any need to remove the case. Just slide your tablet if you want to take it out. It really is that easy because there are no hard clasps to undo when getting it out of the case.

What was a little annoying was the location of the Q and A keys since they are shared with the Tab and Caps Lock keys. But no lasting worries because I got used to it in just a few minutes of usage. You will also frequently hit the dedicated Home button key when trying to type an exclamation point or the number 1, but that's easy to overlook and perhaps get fixed by Logitech on its next release of the product.

The battery life of the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio was said to able to last for up to three months on moderate usage of about a couple of hours a day, but I wouldn't be able to test that since the unit I got is only for 15 days of review.

Overall, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio is another great option for travelers who needs portability and convenience to work on their tablets. The design with its slanted capability allows you to comfortably type. Though some keys are quite annoying to use, it's one of the better portable keyboards out there that is reasonably priced.I would easily recommend this to my colleagues and friends.
