Wazzup Pilipinas!
I was in the middle of listening to a speaker who was sharing information about his company when my mobile phone rang. I forgot to put it in silent mode so I had to immediately walk out of the room to answer it. I heard a familiar voice on the line and she informed me that they were at my home to deliver something. later I realized they also sent me a text message that said "hi ross, are you at home? may dedeliver kasi kme jan snyo" which I failed to reply to because I was glued on listening to the speaker's social innovation story.
Nobody was at our home during the day. My wife was at work, and my three kids were all in school, while I was attending the first day of The Dream Expo MNL happening for three days at the Asian Development Bank in Ortigas. I told the caller to just leave their packages at our neighbors. I had to talk to our neighbor before she agreed to accept the packages in fear it might be a bomb or something.
When I got home....Wow! It was a remarkable early Father's Day gift from Max's Restaurant. Father's Day is still on the 15th (third Sunday of June) but Max's delivered it before that special day. I should also say "gifts" instead of "gift" because not just one, but two boxes of wonderful thoughts of appreciation from one of my favorite restaurants was there at home.
The first box wrapped in golden wrapping paper and tied with a brown Max's Corner Bakery ribbon had a jersey-shaped card attached to it with the Father's Day Special words and addressed to me from Max's Restaurant. There was also a small image of the Philippine flag above my name.
When it was opened, it contained an incredibly huge personalized cake shaped like a blue-colored jersey containing my nickname "ROSS" plus the #1 in the middle as jersey number. There were white highlights at the side and ends of the cake to really make it look like a basketball jersey.
Max's Restaurant is currently promoting the basketball dream team called Gilas Pilipinas as an official restaurant, and also as an active online awareness promoter for the team's nearing match outside the country. Thy're rallying people to support the team towards victory.
I was totally touched by this thoughtful appreciation. I'm sure Max's did the same with the other father bloggers of Max's Restaurant. I am very fortunate to become one of the many blogger advocates promoting Max's Restaurants. I never had any difficulty promoting a brand that never failed to impress me with their yummy dishes, and their impeccable customer service - their staff are always courteous, smiling and ever caring to suggest conveniences whenever we visit them. They are among the very few that takes the initiative to think of ways to maximize the dining experience of their customers.
Max's Restaurant was the very first restaurant that I fell in love with during my younger years, and now that I already have a family, it remains one of the few choices where my family and I dine if we want affordable yet truly sumptuous Filipino dishes. I have wonderful memories of the restaurant since we had the celebration at Max's when my eldest daughter was christened. I will never get bored of their signature fried chicken and their other specialties including their recent innovations - and the restaurant will forever be a part of our family celebrations.
Thank you to Max's Restaurant for making this year's Father's Day another memorable day in our lives.
