Wazzup Pilipinas!
She spills her heart out in her videos doing all sorts of stuff from DJ'ing, acting, singing, rapping, doing a monologue, and other crazy things she can think of while in "emo" mode - that state where she relates as her most creative point in time when she can come up with the most weirdest, nastiest, yet charming expressive ways while still remaining cute in front of the video camera.
Oh, yes! She's the only one who can get away with almost anything with panache while her ever-growing fans continue to love her cute antics because she is simply an adorable petite cutie pie that one can't get bored with!
Donnalyn Bartolome is a natural and candid personality who is so very tele and photogenic that you want to hug and kiss her little body tight that it could almost become flat. Nah, just kidding! Everyone just loves this 19 year old girl with a smile that could launch a thousand, if not a million, ...albums.. if given the opportunity.
But I guess that thought is about to come true as she has already launched a single titled "KakaiBabe", and soon, an album with enough tracks to sweep the nation by her lovely pop and R&B-rapping rhythm plus an endearing attitude that is worthy of praises.
I told Donnalyn during the media interview with her at Amerasia Studios of Viva Records that I follow her in Facebook, and asked her if she has found her identity already as an artist since it seems she's still experimenting on what style to apply, what outfit to wear, what genre to sing, and if she'll be sweet and charming, or sexy and sultry.
She replied that even though she may still be doing a bit of soul searching here and there, she is not lost and is in the right path towards the direction she wish to take.
The million of viewers on YouTube and the hundred of thousand of Likers and followers in Facebook and Twitter will surely support her in her latest endeavors when she totally proves to all that she deserves the monicker as the Social Media Sweetheart of this generation.
Aside from the single which was released as a soundtrack of the movie "Ang Diary ng Panget", there's also an official YouTube Music Video of KakaiBabe online.
KakaiBabe is mainly about reminding guys to take care of their ladies. Donnalyn is into rap music is into rap, the likes of what Nicki Minaj does, because she finds it unusual and not often done by girls. "Unusual po kasi siya, and usually guys lang po ang gumagawa nito. So why can't it be acceptable for a girl to do it, so I was like.. maybe I should try it, OK naman po, tanggap naman po ng mga followers ko. Actually, mas natuituwa pa sila." says Donnalyn.
The first music video that she posted online when she was 13 years old got so many hits. It was Rihanna's Take a Bow song and it became a hit not because she was a great singer on that video but because she didn't know how to sing before. he realized that the song was not suited to her voice and that she just needs to find the right tempo for her. From there she persistently tried to improve her singing and studied different singing techniques like the different ranges of voice per person. Though she returned to do videos only for her friends, she decided to go out on public after a while when she learned that somebody was posing as her.
Are you aware that she used to teach Kumon to little kids? Well, apparently she was a former teacher just like her role in the Sugarhigh music video.
Well, there are a lot of things we learned about the Social media Sweetheart but that will make this a lengthy article to read so better just check on her Facebook fan page to get more updates about Donnalyn and find out what she's up to lately, especially "kapag tinotopak and idol ninyo." as per her comical statement during the interview.
