R16 Philippines 2014: After-Event Highlights
Wazzup Pilipinas!
R16 in the Philippines was held last march 29, 2014 at the Mall of Asia. It is a b-boy competition with a joint collaboration with the Challenge Cup and Breakin The Law. The battle consists of a 1 on 1, 2 on 2 and a crew on crew bboy as well as a freestyle solo division with the categories in Popping, Locking and Allstyles.
Different dancers from the community in the Philippines flocked Mall of Asia to take part in this prestigious international battle founded by BBoy Dyzee of the Supernaturalz Crew. Winners for the b-boy battle and the Popping and Locking solo categories will fly to Singapore for the Southeast Asia R16 leg this coming June.
It was a groundbreaking event as the different dancers did what they do best in their craft and battled it all out against the different crews and dancers. For the Challenge Cup solo bboy competition, it was Babster and Allen who faced it off in the finals with Babster winning the final round and one to represent in Singapore.
Breakin The law 2 on 2 bboy battle was won by Hogan and Killa Four of SAS crew. For the main event, the R16 crew battle final round was between SAS crew and the Funk Roots. With the fair system of judging using the OUR system, the final round and the winner for the second time in a row for R16 is the SAS Crew of Baclaran.
There are a lot of memorable highlights in the event, and one of those is the unforgettable intense and the epic Lotus butt suicide by Dudut from SAS Crew which wrecked the stage literally during eliminations. The show was moved from the stage to the floor of the MOA grounds as the stage was being fixed again.
It was evident how hard the dancers went off on stage to represent their crew and God and poured out their heart and passion on stage and making dreams happen. Another set of battle was the freestyle solo battle. Popping category winner is Kim Dizon who battled it against Danny Pop. Locking Category was swept by Heavy Boogie as well as the Allstyles category.
All in all the whole competition was an inspirational display of love and skill for the craft in dance no matter which style for the love of Hiphop.
The whole event was a success thanks to all the sponsors such as Air Asia and Dyse one, the participation of the dance community in the Philippines, the spectators and the judges and DJs who flew in all the way from Korea, Taiwan and United States for the event to be a success.
The event was also made possible by the help of Team Vibe Philippines and of course all the talents and provision by the Lord God. The R16 Philippines team look forward to setting up a bigger and better battle for 2015 so watch out for that and details to come soon.
I think that in the Philippines there are no such cool events as in America. In America, there are always plenty of options among which you can find the best shows. Our customers are happy to use Best-vegas.com to buy cheap tickets for Las Vegas broadway shows 2019 and all this can be done on this site. If you have been waiting for the opportunity to visit broadway shows then this is the right moment. I'm not kidding you should go buy tickets faster, otherwise they just might not be enough.
