Wazzup Pilipinas!
In celebration of the their recently concluded summer dance
workshop, ADDLIB Dance Crew, one of the premier dance groups in the country
held the ADDLIB Summer “THE LAB” Dance Concert
held at SM North EDSA Skydome on May 11, 2014.
The dance concert featured recitals among participants from
different dancing genres including hip-hop, jazzfunk, dancehall among others.
The crowd is composed of friends and families, all gathered
to support their kids, a perfect time to celebrate Mother’s day.
Here are the students in their rockstars outfit and fierce looks, ready to rock the dance floor!
The opening performance put us in awe. The gold and black combination matches the swift and classy opening number which set an electrifying mood. Good job!
Here are the pictures of the students’ performances enrolled
in different classes.
Hiphop Beginners by L.A. Bagtas.
Jazz Funk Advanced by Macky De Guzman. This is jazz infused with hiphop, cool!
Dancehall by Calvin Metran. Originated in Jamaica with a genre of 1970’s. Awesome!
Jazz Funk Beginners by Mikki De Mesa. Jazz with hiphop or any groove.
NYou School by L.A. Bagtas. According to L.A., he wants his student to develop natural movements and to remember four important things, story, character, flow and imagination.
Girlicious by Calvin Metran. This is a rock and sexy performance.
Rock*Lib by Rein Navarro. A combination of Zumba and Addlib. A fierce and sexy performance.
The LAB outstanding students and the LAB teacher of the
year? Here they are.
I was sitting beside L.A. Bagtas’ mom throughout the event. She shared some background of Addlib. She told me that the group often comes to their house to bond. During our conversation, I found out that almost all of Addlib’s members are professionals in different fields but they have one thing in common, they have the passion for dancing. Some also appears in advertisements. It only proves that Addlib is not just mere dancers. They have the talent, brain and face value, Oha!
L.A. really made her mom proud. And I salute her mom, for
the love and support she always give every time L.A has a performance. It is
real an extraordinary Mother’s Day experience.
Addlib really did a great job in fulfilling their mission,
to inspire their students and to touch their lives. Wishing them a good luck
for the HipHop International Competition this August in Las Vegas. You can
support them morally or financially. Just contact them on their page as they
collecting funds for their international participation to be possible.
