Wazzup Pilipinas!
Since I have a few tickets that will let me and my family enjoy a thrilling day at this unique new summer getaway that's now redefining outdoor fun, I wanted to share a preview of what it will be like as I read everything about the place so I would know what to expect.
I've been to Porac, Pampanga particularly at Poracay, but that place only offers facilities for swimming, zipline and canoe-riding. But from what I hear about SandBox, it seems to be offering some sort of extreme activities suitable for those who want a taste of adrenaline-pumping action.
SandBox, which officially opened just last April 12, 2014, can be found in the vast terrain of Porac, Pampanga located in the new Alviera township development of Ayala Land, Inc., in partnership with Leonio Land.
Visitors of any age will have memorable experiences at SandBox since it features an array of exciting attractions that pumps up visitors to get active and enjoy the great outdoors. From the fun activities amplified by the scale of the facilities to Porac's wide green plains, there's plenty of reasons to get excited.
These are my tickets to give me and my friends access to a day of thrilling and fun-filled activities at the newest outdoor getaway - SandBox.
The Giant Swing is among its major attractions. It is now the Philippines' tallest swing at 10-meters high. Two adult riders will experience what it is like to fly high into the air giving you an unforgettable and exhilarating swing in the sky.
You can feel everyone's excitement as the Giant Swing takes them into flight high up into the air.
The Adventure Tower is 15-meters of wall climbing fun, rappelling and free fall. Up in the tower will also provide you with the best views of Alviera, as far out as the open field where hobbyists can gather for field sports and other outdoor pursuits like Frisbee, RC plane and car activities.
The open field will also feature kite-flying and kite-making workshops this summer, as well as concerts and health and wellness programs.
Another high-flying experience comes from the Avatar One Roller Coaster Zipline, the ride that takes one zipping down roller-coaster style 180-meters down.
Test your stamina and skills as you go through what seems to be a struggle to reach the end of the line.
You and your friends will have fun competing with each other. This will surely become a great conversational piece afterwards that you can share with your colleagues back at work.
Bikers will also be in for a treat as they enjoy Alviera's 5,000 sqm pump track. It serves as a training ground or simple play, and it is open for all types of bikes and skill level making it a suitable recreational activity for cyclists.
John Estacio, Alviera General Manager, shares that "The experience at SandBox gives one a taste of what's to come upon the full development of Alviera. We envision Alviera to be the regional growth center of Central Luzon complete with a commercial district, business and industrial park, university zones, retail centers, a country club, recreational areas and residential neighbourhoods."
If I don't get to convince my family to join me in this adventure, then I might just give the tickets away to anybody who is willing to visit the site and write their story for my blog. They must include all the wonderful memorable photos recounting their experience using the facilities at SandBox. Anybody up for the challenge?
Alviera is a 1,125-hectare property easily accessible from Porac exit (NLEX-SCTEX), and close to the Clark Airport and Subic Freeport. In time, the Alviera township will boast of open campuses for top-rated schools, its own commercial center, work spaces, a privately-managed transport system, hotel, country club and residential developments. Open spaces and recreational attractions will also be featured.
The Sandbox is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For booking guidelines, visit the Alviera website at http://www.alviera.ph/ and on http://www.facebook.com/AlvieraPH.
