Wazzup Pilipinas!
Earthday Jam returns once again for another star-studded evening on April 25, 2014 filled with many of the young and veteran performers from the music industry collaborating in an effort to give tribute to the celebration of international
Earthday.
The celebration will be held at the same venue where it happened last year - at the 9th Avenue corner 34th of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) starting at 7 pm. The event promises to be a merry music marathon that is still free for public viewing. I am sure it will again be flooded with individuals of all ages who will share the night with us in recognizing Earthday through the
Earthday Jam 2014 celebration.
I was there covering the event last year and I have to say it was an impressive line-up of bands and singers, coupled with a few talks from NGOs and advocacy groups, and a spectacular presentation of talent and showmanship. I wanted to take photos and videos of all performances but they were simply numerous that my camera drained its battery just more than half-way the performances. Trust when I say that you'll have
At the press conference held at Gerry's Grill at Greenbelt 3, members of the media were presented with what to expect at the Earhday Jam for the year. From all the artists already identified, there will be a few more surprises to make up for an evening of non-stop music tripping and Earth-loving advocacy.

I actually expressed my concern towards giving more focus on the
organizations contributing to the welfare of the Earth like groups doing
recycling, nature conservationists, etc., since the artists are already
popular enough. Many of the attendees would mostly just stick their
attention on the artists performances, and use the rest of the time to
have comfort room and snack breaks. Unfortunately, this is when many of
the NGOs and group would share their piece and relay their advocacy
movements. Thus many of them would miss out on the more significant
information concerning ideas on how to help save Mother Earth.

Earthday was intended to give awareness on the necessity for everyone to help save the environment, and we will only be able to do that if everyone was well-informed of ways and means on how to do more than just know their favorite artists fully support
Earthday. Each and everyone of us needs to do more concrete things that will truly save the
Mother Earth. Having the awareness that there is a need to be conscious about saving the environment is great, but what's even excellent is knowing what to do and how to do it.
As what
Lou Bonnevie said at the press release "The (
EarthDay Jam) campaign is a work in progress because people need to know hard that Global warming is a serious problem. It is fast depleting the planet's natural resources, and it is only a matter of time before it start to affect all of us."

Since majority of the attendees are usually the youth, which is actually the primary target of the event, the performers for the night has always included young and emerging talents like
GraceNote, and now newly added to the line-up is the
Brat Pack composed of internationally awarded young individuals all ready and willing to share their music with the crowd at
Earthday Jam 2014.

Noel Cabangon, Slapshock, Chicosci, Sandwich, Kjwan and

Brownman Revival offering uniquely their own kind of music.
Abra and
Gloc 9 will be battling it off in a showdown of rap and hip hop supremacy. To offer jazz is the swinging
PI Jazzfest performers, and for a touvh of goth is the newbie gothic rock group
Philia.
There will also be a recyclables fair to happen earlier before the show starts so everyone is encouraged to sell their recyclable stuff before proceeding to the event.
