Wazzup Pilipinas!
The very first Marvel Avenger that wears the colors and images of the American flag strikes the big screen for the second time with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
A special blocked screening was held recently last March 26, 2014 by PMCM Events Management at teh EDSA Shangri-La Shang CinePlex Cinema 2, and was attended by a huge crowd all obviously fans of the red, white and blue star-spangled costumed superhero.
We've seen the Avenger kick butts on the first movie but here on the sequel, we now see Captain America had become tougher and truly a badass fighter.
Uh-oh...Spoiler alert after this sentence so consider this as a warning before you read any further. You've been warned so if you haven't watched the movie yet. Again, I repeat, there's a lot of spoilers following this sentence so don't blame me if your viewing pleasure got spoiled because you've been warned again and again. Final warning before you click on Read More, spoilers alert incoming.

Everything was not as it seemed to be when Captain America (or Steve Rogers played by Chris Evans) realized there's something wrong with his former colleagues at S.H.I.E.L.D. especially when his boss Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson) was attacked, killed and gave a warning not to trust anybody.
With the help of allies Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff played by Scarlett Johansson) and The "black" Falcon (Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie), they go on trying to avenge the death (so we thought) of their boss, Nick Fury, and to defeat the infiltration of Hydra on the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization led by their top boss (Alexander Pierce played by Robert Redford) and muscle Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan) whose identity we later learn was Bucky Barnes, Cap's former friend.

Later scenes revealed that Nick Fury was still alive. That is not a surprise for comic book followers and fans since that one-eyed hero is too good to be defeated that easily.
We were given with the premise that even those who wear the colors of democracy and liberty might be in disguise and may be in fact the true enemies of the state. In cases like these, we really deserve to have a superhero who can battle it out against the conqueror.
We also learn that while SHIELD and HYDRA might have different mission statements, both groups’ desire for control over their perceived enemies and the muscle they employ to get what they want make them more similar than different.
As usual, there's the iconic appearance of Stan lee as a Smithsonian guard.
Unfortunately, I won't be sharing with you video capture or screenshots of the movie so you'll appreciate the movie more by seeing the actual images on the big screen. Besides, it was a 3D presentation so it would be a lot more fun watching it personally.
We saw lots of spectacular fighting scenes, and with the movie being on 3D, it was a special treat for all five of us looking really cool on 3D glasses.
Add the free popcorn and drinks, plus the opportunity to win in the raffle (we won two prizes out of the five tickets that we have).
There were also some free snacks given away at the end of the movie.
Thank you PMCM Events Management for the family bonding treat!
