Wazzup Pilipinas!
Everyone loves to eat, and like many of us, everyone prefers to have easy access to lots of choices to feel more pampered and blessed to enjoy a more splendid lifestyle fulfilled by sumptuous dining experiences.
We appreciate dining destinations within our reach, and it's a big plus if the meals served would also be affordable and right on the budget - perfect for the yuppies on the go who do not have time to cook for themselves.
We would also prefer to have more than just the greasy fast-food or frozen microwavable meals. We feel we deserve better than the ordinary because we worked hard and a satisfied stomach is at least our just rewards.
Now imagine living at a place where you'll have access to these conveniences. On a food and restaurant tour called the
Avida Food Hunt,
Chef JJ Yulo of
Pinoy Eats World toured us around the neighborhood of San Antonio Village West of Makati that boasts of many varieties of cuisines offered by lots of promising restaurants.

We are on a Food Hunt...the Avida Food Hunt |
Avida Food Hunt participants, along with some members of the press, joined this gastronomical adventure to embark on a food hunt within the vicinity of Avida Towers Asten, a high-rise residential condominium. We were able to get a sampling of specialty dishes and epicurean fares in the neighboring Avida development.

Arrived at Carpaccio Ristorante Italiano |
After the meetup at the Avida showroom located at Glorietta, we started our food hunt on board vans to take us to our first destination at
Carpaccio Ristorante Italiano located along Yakal street where the
Avida Towers Asten development property can be visibly seen just opposite the restaurant.
|
We were expected by both management and crew of the restaurant |

Dining on Carpaccio Piemontese at where else but Carpaccio Ristorante Italiano |
We were served with
Carpaccio Piemontese, thinly-sliced choice cut grade A beef served with cheese and fresh green salad on the side. The dish is obviously a starter meal to indicate just the beginning of our food hunt.
|
Lina Fernandez, manager of Carpaccio Ristorante Italiano with Chef JJ of Pinoy Eats World |
Later on we were informed that we will be visiting a total of five (5) restaurants for this particular
Avida Food Hunt. This means that we might consider eating light here at our first stop because there's four more restaurants to go.
In my case, I'm used to food tasting since I've done food and restaurant reviews so many times, so I ate up everything I can. (BTW, I'm hungry since I skipped lunch especially because of this).

TTK is located along Metropolitan Avenue near Shopwise |
Our second stop was at the TTK Authentic Masters Singapore Foods restaurant located along Metropolitan Avenue. The restaurant specializes in gastronomic selection that speaks of fusion of flavors representing various cultures from all over the world of which their most popular are Singaporean staples.

The TTK came from the owner's daughter's name, TanTien Kim. Though the owner revealed that the reason for the long name was because some people are making fun of the TTK acronym.

On our way to Hong Kong Roast HKR Food Express |
The third stop of our Avida Food Hunt was at the Hong Kong Roast (HKR) Food Express restaurant located along Bagtikan street. The restaurant serves an array of Hong Kong-style comfort food like the mouth-watering roast duck, best eaten with a hot bowl of rice and a glass of bubble milk tea.

There was actually a lot of information given in just a few minutes: Information Overload! |

We tasted a total of 6 wines, last of which was sparkling wine |

Chef JJ Yulo with Tess Tatco, head of Avida Marketing |
Tess Tatco, Avida Marketing Head, reiterates what we've realized all along that the Avida Food Hunt was conceptualized for people to realize that Avida developments provide comfort and convenience to their residents by making sure that the neighborhood selected for their properties are communities where everything is near, access to good life and great food and restaurants are all within the vicinity.
