Heart attack, stroke and cancer are the three top causes of death among Filipinos. These are chronic non-communicable lifestyle diseases brought about by our wrong choice of food, lack of exercise and other unhealthy daily habits. Though there is an increasing public awareness all over the Metro, only a few also consider preparing financially for their future to treat these lifestyle diseases if ever they are unfortunate victims of such.
AXA Philippines offers solutions that helps secure your financial future. It keeps on challenging the present and always looking for solutions that better meet the financial needs of their customers. They will even modify services to adjust to their customer's changing preferences. This quest made them the innovator behind the development of bancassurance and behind the introduction of variable life products into the market.
They are now once again redefining the life insurance market by introducing Health Exentials, Health Max and SME ProteXion - three new products that provide adequate coverage to Filipinos when they encounter critical and life-threatening illness.
At a Health Campaign Bloggers Launch held at the Ascott Hotel In Makati City, they've invited experts to discuss about the current health of the Filipino. These include Dr. Renzo Guinto and DOH Usec Teodoro Herbosa. TV and movie personality Camille Prats was also there to share her sad experience, including her hardship, upon learning of her husbands terminal disease which eventually led to his demise.
But before that, a few simple and quick tests, named as My Health Numbers, were done at the event area where participants underwent measurements of their Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI) Body fat and Waist-to-Hip Ratio.
There was even a cool setup called Augmented Reality where the card you put infront of a camera gets to display a graphical informative fact about the different major part of the body like the heart, brain and lungs.
Later during the discussion, the experts revealed the shocking meaning of the numbers measured from the tests. This gave me sort of a fright as I had terrible test results. I better take a closer look at their products in preparation for my future. I do not want to give my loved ones double the pain of having to worry about how to pay for my medical and hospital expenses plus the threat of death if my sickness becomes worst.
I could still remember several years back when we had to pay a fortune after my daughter got hospitalized for a week. It took a lot of out of us aside from putting our bank accounts to zero balance.
AXA Philippines Segment Head and Managers namely JayAnne Rempola and Albert Mangosing also shared their expertise with the blogger attendees.
