America in 3D: A Roadshow in Diplomacy, Development and Defense
Wazzup Pilipinas!
The US Embassy invites you to celebrate American culture and traditions at “America in 3D: A Roadshow in Diplomacy, Development and Defense.”
“America in 3D” is the US Embassy’s signature public outreach program, and is essentially where they take the Embassy on the road throughout the Philippines to convene a multiday event, featuring a series of cultural performances, youth programs, community service projects, sports clinics, and information exhibits.
Since 2011, there has already been six “America in 3D” events in cities around the Philippines, reaching hundreds of thousands of Filipinos at each event.
The seventh “America in 3D” will be held in Manila at the SM Mall of Asia on March 1 and 2, 2014.
At unique Interaction Points, mall goers have the chance to personally meet representatives of various Embassy sections and agencies including the Visa section, Department of Veterans Affairs, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department of Defense personnel and others.
Their Main Stage will feature top name Filipino and American musicians, high-energy dance shows, informative presentations, and one-of-a-kind cultural presentations. Local talents include Charice Pempengco, Jed Madela, and Luke Mejares.
From getting your photo taken in front of an iconic U.S. landscape, to face painting and listening to children’s stories; from classic car shows to hip hop dance clinics- America in 3D offers something for everyone.
But America in 3D is so big one mall can’t contain it all! They also venture out to the surrounding areas and offer sports clinics for young people and coaches, perform community service projects, and showcase valuable local initiatives.
At the heart of America in 3D is the mission to give as many Filipinos as possible a taste of U.S. culture and the opportunity to interact with Americans and Embassy officials. Each time the embassy host America in 3D, they more than double the typical mall traffic for the weekend- over half a million mall goers and counting- not to mention the tens of thousands more that were reached through social and traditional media campaigns.
At America in 3D financial and in-kind partnerships are established. Relationships are built on a stronger foundation. Understanding between the peoples of the United States and the Philippines is bridged and strengthened.
The result is an expansive, impactful and dynamic program that attracts and engages thousands of Filipinos from all sectors.
We invite you to join the U.S. Embassy and be a part of America in 3D!
