New year is once again welcomed and celebrated as before with a good vibes and positive hope. Although there are lot of bad things, calamities and tragedies we’ve been through still we were able to smile. But how do Filipinos typically spend New Year’s Eve?
A minute before January 1 we Filipinos used to have a countdown
10-9-8- each second comes with a hope of a better year
-7-6-5- with a vision of a lucky year, lucky year not only for yourself but also for your family and friends
-4-3-2-comes with a thankful heart for all the experiences, blessings and miracles that you’ve been through, because of this we’ve became a better man
and -1- for the prayer that HE will guide us in the new year to come.
As the clock reached 12:00, Fireworks, trumpets, whistles, horns etc. started to make noise. Noise that represents joy, hope, patience and courage to face tomorrow. After this they will have their so called media noche a small feast with foods that each of the family member would share. The midnight will be full of happiness that starts up their new year. A happiness that they wish to last until the last day of 2014
To each and every Filipinos all over the world Happy new year everyone J Let’s welcome 2014 with a smile, Full of happiness and love because even if we are not the wealthiest man on earth still we are the most blessed one because our Creator love us :).
Welcome 2014!
"It's 2014.
Are we becoming better, or are we becoming bitter?
Is life bringing out the best in us or the beast in us?
Are we blessing others or vexing them?
Are we assets to this world or are we liabilities wherever we go?
Think about these questions and find the answers really quick before 2015 catches you off guard. You have one year, and the timer starts NOW.
Failure to do so will be your life's greatest tragedy."

ReplyDeleteI like the last part of this article. I think the message of this is to become a better person, to be that someone that you are dreaming of. Someone that is halfway in fulfilling her dreams. What you are in the past is not really important. We should start the year right and finish it with a smile on our faces and having no regrets. :)
Good job for a great article! I like how you showed the positive and negative parts of 2013 and 2014. I also love this article's positive view of life. Keep up the good work!
