MATA Expo Is Coming for the 2nd Time to the Philippines

Wazzup Pilipinas!

In February 4, 2012, MATA EXPO Philippines was held in the World Trade Center, Pasay City. Where in over 3,000 guests attended to support the "Equal Communication Rights for the Deaf" advocacy and raise funds for the VRS (Video Relay Service) project for the Deaf.

This event showcased over 100 booths, performances by Deaf visual artists, Deaf dancers and ended the program with a rock show featuring the country's top rock bands. Funds gathered from this event went to the construction of VRS stations in different areas in Manila.

This year, "Global MATA EXPO Philippines" will be held on February 8, 2014 at One Esplanade in Pasay City.

You are invited to MATA EXPO Philippines! Cosplay, Arts & Fashion Shows plus Food Fest and International Wrestling Show.

It will be showcasing:
⁃ A variety of merchandise booths.
⁃ Mini Food fair.
⁃ Cosplay Catwalk
- Harajuku Catwalk
⁃ JOSWAY Fashion show (by a Deaf Designer from L.A. Josue Flores)
⁃ Entertainment wrestling featuring Deaf wrestlers from JAPAN, UK and the Philippines.
⁃ Celebrity guest performances

Entrance is 250.00.
Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m.

Deaf individuals from the Philippines, UK, Japan and the U.S., their families and friends. Sign Language students, Interpreters, Teachers, Government Agencies, Organizations, Corporations, Small business owners, Cosplayers, Fitness enthusiasts, Entertainment wrestling fanatics, University / College representatives, Artists, General Public.

All funds gathered will go to the VRS (Video Relay Service) Project for our local Deaf community which has a population of 4 million Deaf citizens nationwide.
