Wazzup Pilipinas!Bloggers were invited last night at the My Little Bossings Bloggers' Night press conference held at Annabel's Restaurant located in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. This is my first time to attend the presscon done for the second time to highlight the offering of Vic Sotto's entry to the annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). They said there was also a presscon intended for the members of the tri-media (print, TV and radio) held a few days earlier.
It seems the blogging community has grown big, and several companies has recognized the significance and influence of bloggers that they organized a separate one for us. Though the line between the tri-media and the new media has grown so very thin, and many are contemplating that everything will eventually go online and with a few still on-air, the only media threatened is print.
Bloggers now gather to help disseminate and promote the Ryzza Mae Dizon and James Bimby Aquino-Yap movie. Yeah!, whether you agree or not, we can say they are the real stars of the movie, and with the adult stars as their supporting actors.
Vic Sotto did say during the question and answer portion that Kris Aquino had a book-end role because she appeared at the beginning and reappeared at the end of the movie. Vic Sotto still leads the cast, but everyone is really investing on the popularity of the two child stars.
Top celebrity TV host and movie comedian Vic Sotto, adorable child star Ryzza Mae and writer Bibeth Orteza during the question and answer portion of the My Little Bossings Bloggers' Night at Anabel's Restaurant . More videos to be uploaded soon at my Pinoy Tekkie YouTube channel.
It also has a sense of realism, or truthfulness, as Bibeth Orteza also said about the film, because you won't have a hard time identifying with the characters of the two kids. Bimby is indeed a rich kid (due to his Queen of All Media mom), and Ryzza Mae did came from an average income family. There seems to be less effort in playing their roles.
But as what Ryzza Mae said during the interview, "Sosyal din naman ako ah, hindi lang halata". I imagine that with the many projects of Ryzza Mae, she and her family would have tried tasting the comforting good life already.
I was also at awe when Vic Sotto revealed that Kris Aquino opted her photo not to be included in the official movie poster since she really wants everyone to focus their attention on the real stars of the movie -Ryzza Mae and his son from ex-husband James Yap.
I was also happy for Ryzza Mae that she now has a lead and full-length role, eventhough she never realized it when the camera started rolling for the first time as they shoot the scenes for the movie. All the while she thought she was just supporting for Vic Sotto in a bit role.
Like Aiza Seguerra, she is a very smart and witty kid, that I just hope she is enjoying her popularity but never forsake her studies. Oh! they did mention she was at the top 5 of her class - of a class of 6 students....hehehe!!!
"But hey, mom! Please put half of my talent fee in a sure investment and not on so many liabilities. You can buy me a new house, a car and some great cute dresses so I won't have to wear the same outfit the entire day. Sosyal din ako, noh! But please never let me neglect my studies!"
With rich kid's Bimby's chocolate treats, Ryzza Mae might be tempted to stay longer in showbiz until she's overgrown her child star cutesy appeal, and Bimby might be another matinee idol because he inherited the charm and hunk appeal of his dad, and the classy and sophisticated taste of his mom - being an Aquino and all, may be we'll see him in politics too someday. His mom would have run if she was not in showbiz already. But I'm betting she'll have her eye on a position when she gets older. Like his dad, he may go bounce and shoot a few hoops with his balls, but I'm betting those are not the only balls he will be juggling.
Seriously, our education is an alternative resort if just in case our popularity dwindles. Education also teaches us more than just give us a degree to qualify for work - in or outside the booming call center or BPO industry. "I graduated with a degree in Rocket Science only to receive calls from a disgusted customer complaining about a poor quality product?"
My Little Bossings is said to be one of the eight films to compete at the annual MMFF. It stars Vic Sotto, Kris Aquino, Ryzza Mae Dizon and James Bimby Aquino-Yap.
The film also stars Aiza Seguerra, Jaclyn Jose, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, and Barbie Forteza. It is directed by Marlon Rivera and under Octo Arts Films, M-Zet Productions, APT Entertainment and Kris Aquino Productions.
The Vic Sotto movies have been consistently a blockbuster during the MMFF. The movies may not have been proclaimed as Best picture, but it has its own share of awards and recognitions....and I guess what really is the most important is how the masses accepts the movie as the popular choice to watch during the Christmas season.
In life, it doesn't really matter if you have produced and created the best, almost perfect, critically-acclaimed, multi-awarded movie for all lifetime. What really matters for me is how you made the most people appreciate even the lowliest-budgeted, traditionally-satired, averagely-starred film. The most admirable is how your work made a difference to the moviegoer - bringing even a just little smile to ease the stress and tension for that day. Who knows, maybe we made magic that day - something we will never really know.
My Little Bossings will surely catch the attention, and ultimately tickle the funny bones, of the madlang people whether they are Kapamilya, Kapuso, Kapatid or whatever Kaartihan.
My Little Bossings surely catch the attention of the madlang people with this two cute little tandem: Being the top-selling movie proves it and being a blockbuster hit adds a good point for that.
