Wazzup Pilipinas!
The Gardenia Happy Bread Day event was held at the Gardenia Bread Town that was built inside the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati. The event was supposed to start at around 10 am but a lot of the booths were still completing their setup during that time. I brought my wife and my youngest child at the event where they enjoyed the differnet booths offering fun and exciting opportunities to taste and win Gardenia products and merchandises.
Aside from being able to buy Gardenia breads at factory prices, the numerous booths around Gardenia Bread Town offered free Gardenia bread samples tasting so you'll definitely be full already if you've tasted all of the said bread samples. In fact, we only took our lunch a few hours after lunch time because we were all satisfied already with all those yummy breads we were able to sample.
It was a whole day event filled with loads of activities for both the young and old alike. Prizes at stake were Gardenia designed shirts, pot-holders, products from other co-sponsors and of course lots of bread from Gardenia.
Fun activities, prizes, and overflowing breads await! The entrance to the event was free! Many went and witnessed the opening of the Gardenia Bread Town.

Several people attended the Gardenia Happy Bread Day event and fell in line at the many booths at the Gardenia Bread Town.
Several variants of delicious and nutritious Gardenia breads were sold at factory prices and many taste samples were available for tasting.
Apparently, there were some complaints that the huge crowd made it so troublesome to fall in a long queue especially for the kids who had to endure the long wait and many would even try to squeeze themselves just to be able sample at a bread-tasting booth.
Some entertainment were also provided for the enjoyment of the crowd.
The G-Lock Wall holds thousands of G-locks, a color coded tag that guarantees the freshness of Gardenia breads. Also, for every Php 90 purchase of Gardenia loaves, the G-lock of the loaves purchased is placed on a Happy Bread Day wall for the “I Shared Bread” promo. Every G-lock shared means three loaves of breads that will be shared to the White Cross, Don Bosco Boys Home and victims of the recent earthquake. A very noble effort by Gardenia for our country men affected by the recent disaster in the Philippines.
Below are other booths that can be found at the Gardenia Bread Town last October 28 at the Glorietta Activity Center.
The most awaited event was also the Next Big Sandwich Hit Grand Finale participated by the finalist coming from several universities. There, inspired HRM and Culinary course students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, La Consolacion College, Centro Escolar University, Adamson University, Far Eastern University, Philippine Women’s University, Our Lady of Fatima University, St. Scholastica’s College, University of the East and University of Santo Tomas engage each other in an ultimate battle of culinary genius and wits at the grand kitchen stadium, where they will create the most delicious and mouth-watering sandwiches that will become the best-seller of a young entrepreneur’s sandwich enterprise in the future.
I was at the Philippine Womens' University (PWU) challenge a few weeks ago where a team composed of two students was awarded to become one of the finalist of the event. They have undergone a series of challenges.
Since we were there at a very early time, we couldn't stay long to wait for the winners who will take home Php 200,000 worth of prizes from Gardenia. I was informed about the winner from the Gardenia Facebook page. Congratulations to TEAM FAT THIN of La Consolacion College Manila, winner of The Next Big Sandwich Hit! Below is a video after their win as finalist at their school.
