Wazzup Pilipinas!
"Thank you Ross Flores Del Rosario for the great insight you shared there. And again, congratulations. Indeed, destiny is something that you choose. No one can hurt or affect or put you down without your consent." - Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino.comThank you to Miss Janette Toral for the short but very meaningful message along with her congratulatory remarks to the founder of WazzupPilipinas.com.
Ross Flores Del Rosario, founder of Wazzup Pilipinas, shared an article containing some insights thru the Wazzup Pilipinas blog about the recently concluded 2nd Digital Influencers Marketing Summit and the recognition of the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2013 of which Wazzup Pilipinas was one of the lucky ten.
Wazzup Pilipinas even made it at the top of the list based from tabulated votes coming from fellow bloggers. Ross also shared a bit of reflection on how he persistently worked hard for the sake of the Wazzup Pilipinas blog, and how he managed to involve other bloggers to participate in the effort to setup the community blog.
Indeed the WazzupPilipinas.com blog may only be a few months old but it has already made quite an admirable accomplishment.
Wazzup Pilipinas is a community blog open to all who would like to contribute worthy articles that help promote events, happenings, products, places, advocacies and opinions that are of interest to the Filipino people. Its primary goal is to keep its readers well-informed and updated with current events, and the latest trends and issues, in the Philippines.
Some of the notable accomplishments include partnership with government agencies like the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Department of Tourism (DOT), and the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), and even Malacanang agreed that we can repost their press releases released by the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office and the Office of the President. According to The Official Gazette webteam, Usec. Manuel L. Quezon said that they could include us in their Daylight dissemination list, while Usec. Abigail Valte agreed to include us also in their dissemination list for statements from the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson.
Wazzup Pilipinas also partnered with several events and organizations as their official online media partner namely WU Fest 2013, UP JMA ADHOC : Seek Avidity, 34th Manila International Book Fair, EduCare : A Young Child Conference, National Conference on language and Literature, Raket Market, Baby Expo 2013, Dutdutan Trece, The Best of Anime 2013, 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit, Mabuhay Restop, Kultura Kamp, 1st BPO Virtual Assistant Conference, Bigas2Hack, and many other events and organizations too many to mention.
Wazzup Pilipinas has also made several "bloggers events" arrangements for many companies and individuals who required the participation of bloggers in their online promotions. The number of events organized by Wazzup Pilipinas has reached more than a hundred already and counting.
Wazzup Pilipinas has also currently maintained a staggering number of page views reaching a peak of more than 18,000+ on a single day and an average of 4,000+ daily views during slow days. The Facebook Fan page Likes is currently (The statistics improves everyday so this may no longer be the actual data after a few days).
Many requests for event invites have been accumulating on its email and Facebook accounts thus there is really the need to now delegate the event participation tasks to correspondents all willing to contribute for the Wazzup Pilipinas blog.
The number of correspondents contributing to the Wazzup Pilipinas blog has even reached the maximum number that can be allowed by the blogging platform. Correspondents consist of both professional and leisure bloggers belonging to a wide range of demographics.
The most admirable attribute about Wazzup Pilipinas is that it gives opportunities to both pro and newbie bloggers to participate in its organized activities because it believes that everyone can become great if only they will be given a chance to prove themselves. Since it is a community blog, it promotes "bayanihan" among bloggers. Everyone contributes or lends a helping hand, may it be the sharing of photos, write-ups, contacts or PR referrals, contributing to the Facebook Fan Page or group page, etc., all for the benefit of Wazzup Pilipinas.
Wazzup Pilipinas believes that the Filipino spirit is always aiming for
the best, but it must cooperate or work with equally talented
individuals to succeed in its endeavors. We believe that there is
strength in numbers, and there is hope for the Philippines if we all
become united as one. Just imagine what many influential individuals can
do if they all combine their talent, time and effort into one common
goal. We can do wonders for our blog and for the Philippines!
More power to Wazzup Pilipinas. More power to the Filipino!
