Wazzup Pilipinas!
Everyone of us is all excited to attend the 5th edition of ManilART - the biggest visual art fair of the Philippines. It is now being called as ManilART 2013 : Celebrating Variety.
It gives me great pleasure to see wonderful masterpieces created by many of our remarkable artists, all on display in one magnificent venue for everyone to appreciate.
Clearly, this event will be arousing the interests of many creatively-inclined individuals who favor art passionately. I am one of those that gets easily awed by the creative efforts of our artists especially if their works brings out intense meaning or reflections from the inner soul.
I will never pass an opportunity as awesome as this. This will definitely go to my priority of events list since I have been a lover of the arts since childhood. Call me a frustrated artist who's initial liking of a course was Fine Arts, but many have said that there is no money in art. Because I was young, and still under the care of my parents, I followed their advice and ended up with an Engineering course. Nevertheless, my love for the arts persisted in everything that I do.
The MANILART 2013 started in 2009 with the support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), MANILART has showcased over 2,500 works of Philippine artists through galleries participating from all over the Philippines. Last year alone, the four-day event at the SMX Convention Center Mall of Asia registered a visitorship of almost 11,000 art patrons, collectors, enthusiasts, and students.
