Wazzup Pilipinas! Man is basically good. We all want the best for our fellow men. Our hearts are so compassionate that we would always lend a helping hand in times of trouble or disaster especially when we know we can do something about it. Last September 9, 2013, I was one of the bloggers who were given a chance to cover and participate in Marriott’s contribution to the victims of the recent typhoon Maring that hit Luzon including their neighboring towns here in Pasay City NCR. This is one of the finest and excellent help one organization can give and do because its not just a simple food but one of their specialties, the Paella, which is more expensive than other known dishes in this country that they have provided to the typhoon victims. |

Being one of the representative of this place since I am a Pasayeno and being once a part of the industry in Hotel and Restaurant business , serve as a waiter during the 90’s I have seen how food has been spoiled and up to the point of being trashed due to some safety standards that has been implemented and done for maintaining safety and making sure that it is well prepared and safe to eat.
The kitchen Deparment headed by their Executive Chef Meik Brammer, who has unselfishly prepared the food and serve it to the two barangay’s namely Bgy 191 Zone 20 and Bgy 30 Zone 5 at Propetarius near Cartimar Market.. They absolutely do the task of helping out of love and care for the victims of the recent typhoons and will continue to keep their spirit of service and a hand of care to protect.
The recent effects that Typhoon Maring brought to the country greatly affected the living situations of countless families in the metro. With this, the Marriott Hotel Manila joined forces with the Philippine National Red Cross in feeding 1,000 children and elderly in two barangays in Pasay City recently.
Spearheaded by Marriott’s Executive Chef Meik Brammer and his Kitchen Team, Marriott and Red Cross reached out and imparted their Spirit to Serve to their neighboring residents. Complete with a huge paella pan, the group arrived in the barangays and showed enthusiasm to eagerly serve food to the less-fortunate members of the community.
