The SMS APIfied Hackathon/Conference is an event that will rock the world of SMS Apps!

The event will highlight the shift in focus from the ordinary, usual method of SMS application development-to-implementation cycle to the much faster and simpler API-based development. It will showcase the various advantages that can be experienced by using the Youphoric SMS API, with emphasis on how quick and easy it is now to SMS-enable your app. Never has it been this easy!

With all the advantages in using Youphoric SMS API, focus can now be shifted to creating innovative and useful apps. The simplicity of implementation ensures that developers and non-developers alike will benefit and thus be attracted to app-creation unlike before where most were put off by the complexity of the cycle.

HOW TO JOIN SMS APIfied HACKATHON


1. Form a team or go solo (but it’ll be less fun)

2. Register at http://www.hackathon.io/sms-api-fied • Register your team name and team members. • Registration is FREE. • Those who have not registered will not be eligible for any of the prizes. • If you would just like to observe at the event, kindly indicate in the registration that you are an observer.

3. Bring your own laptop and be prepared to develop your app using the Youphoric SMS API.

4. Before the hackathon, we will demonstrate how to use the APIs when building your app. The API can be accessed through www.youphoriclabs.com/SMSApps/apigee

5. Your app can be built during the hackathon but you are allowed to have pre-work as well.

6. Finished or unfinished, at the end of the hackathon, you will present your app via a live demo. • You have five minutes to explain your app. After which you may be questioned by our panel of judges. • The order of the presentations will be drawn by lots.

7. Maximum of 3 members per team :)
