Wazzup Pilipinas!
Our school, Pasig City Science High School, joined two contests for the month of September.
First is the Interpretative Dance that was held at the Tanghalang PasigueƱo. The song that each school had interpreted was entitled “Malaya Ka Na, Pilipino” which is all about the freedom of our country. Actually, the event was for the celebration of the Filipino Month but it was cancelled because of the habagat.
At first, we are all excited because it was our first time to compete for our school. I can say that the eleven schools are very competitive, so everyone got no idea on who will bring home the bacon. Then, when they are announcing the winners, we keep on praying and wishing to at least have a place.

After hearing the names of the other schools for the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st
place, we are all hopeless and we just thank God because He gave us the
opportunity to perform and compete with others; until they announced the
Champion and we cannot believe that our school was called. All the
sufferings were worth it!
Second was the Dance Sports that is divided into three parts. First is
the one-dance which are Chachacha and Waltz. Second is the two-dance
which includes Waltz-Tango and Chachahcha-Rumba. Lastly is the
three-dance which has Chachacha-Rumba-Jive and Waltz-Tango-Quick step.

It happened at the Division Office of Pasig City. It was also our first time to join this kind of competition. Again, we are excited and nervous at the same time. Then, we are also able to bring home the bacon. I am glad because friendships were made during our practice and our talent in dancing was also enhanced.
What I want all of you to learn in this article is… Never miss an opportunity for you to be completely happy.
Have a great day, everyone!
