I heard that a fellow blogger, Lawrence Chan, was invited as guest speaker for an event happening on October 18 Friday at 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) located in Gen. Luna Street of Intramuros, Manila. The exact venue is at the Bulwagang Leandro V. Locsin of NCCA.
This will definitely be an interesting event as I am very familiar of the knowledge and capacity of Lawrence Chan and the scope of his expertise regarding many fields of interests. He will be representing the Royal Postal Heritage Tour as speaker alongside the likes of honorable Alfredo Lim, Atty. Romulo Macalintal, Change.org founder Inday Espina Varona, and others guest speakers of notable distinctions..
Save our heritage sites. Know their rights. Attend the "Demolisyon" - a one day leadership conference on youth involvement in protecting and maintaining historical zones and structures within the city of Manila.
Based from the official event programme, Lawrence will be the very first speaker after the Opening Remarks of former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim. He will discuss "Saving Manila's Grand Dame of Pre-War Entertainment Centers" - which is probably referring to the Metropolitan Theater.
Apparently, the event is to fight against the threat of demolitions that will bring down heritage or historical sites and/or landmarks within the city of Manila.
The Katipunan ng Kabataang Maaasahan (KKM) in partnership with United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary-PLM Chapter (UAPSA-PLM) is inviting you to a one-day leadership conference on youth awareness in protecting and maintaining historical zones and structures within the City of Manila.
