Many of us Filipinos are now eating some of the Japanese dishes right? There are also many Japanese restaurants in the Philippines and one of the Japanese dishes served there that we probably have eaten there already is the Tempura.
What is Tempura? Tempura is a Japanese dish of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried.
The Tempura recipe was introduced to Japan by the Portuguese Jesuit Missionaries particularly active in Nagasaki. The Tempura was a popular food eaten at street venders and it is called 'yatai' since Genroku era.
