The First Ever Charity Pub Crawl
Wazzup Pilipinas!
If you have yet to try out Manila Pub Crawl then you are missing half of your life. Does bar hopping through 5 bars and meeting new people sound fun to you? If that is the case then MPC is perfect for your tastes. I tried out the Charity Pub Crawl where all profit would go to the Philippine Red Cross. The meeting place was Central BBQ Bar and Grill near Cash and Carry and I ended up arriving too early. I guess that is what happens when you are too excited for an event. There were actually numerous events happening on that day including a friend's wedding and the opening of a Mercato branch at Pampanga.
I was so glad I chose the Charity Pub Crawl because it was so much fun. This is actually the 2nd time I attended a Manila Pub Crawl. The founder Oliver Kollner started it at Boracay as the Boracay Pub Crawl and it attracts an average of 90 people per day.
Captains Abbi, Chix and Chai handled the enormous crowd pretty well. In fact, I think we had close to 50 attendees for the night. We stayed at the Central BBQ Bar and Grill for a little photo booth shooting. I acted as the photographer which got me nervous since my camera is still new and it was my first time handling a photo booth.
After the photobooth, we headed to our 2nd destination which was 121 Bar and Grill located at Pasong Tamo. We had shots for everyone and the best part was we played Beer Pong. When we would head to a bar, we would play games inside the jeep we were in.
We split up into two teams and the game took longer than usual. The important part was that everyone had fun and I am sure that was exactly the case as everyone took turns firing the ping pong balls into the opposing team's glasses. The objective of the game is to shoot ping pong balls into the other team's v shaped glasses. All the glasses are filled with beer and when one glass gets a ball in it, it gets removed and the next person to try and shoot the ball has to drink it. The game would go on until all the glasses of one team would get removed. We ended up losing but we were such good sports anyway.
After that, we headed to the next stop which was Prive. I have heard a lot of great things about that luxury club and it was great. Unfortunately, my camera was not allowed inside the club for some reason. We ended up playing a game inside the bar as whoever says "mine" gets to do some pushups for guys and squats for girls.
For our fourth stop, we headed over to Prohibition. There was another game here but everyone completely forgot because they all danced to the beat. Some pubcrawlers also got to enjoy some discounted liquor as well as the provided liquor shots per bar. There is also a rule where one of the captains would say "Can I get a Manila..?" and everyone else would say "Pub Crawl!!" This is where everyone got to share stories with each other about their work, college and other stuff.
Our last stop was Republiq Resorts World but once again, we were not allowed to take pictures inside. There were a lot of people there as I even got poked in the eye by one of the party people. It ended one wild night and I will definitely join them again in the near future.
What are you waiting for? Join the Manila Pub Crawl for a night you will never forget.
