Sunshine Cruz Was Sexually Molested by Cesar Montano?

There seems to be a trend of celebrities now coming out and exposing their controversial family disputes. Among the previous issues was that of actress Claudine Barretto who filed a case against her husband actor Raymart Santiago.


Now, Sunshine Cruz has finally broken her silence and decided to file a case of physical and emotional battery at the Quezon City Trial Court prosecutor’s office against husband actor Cesar Montano.

In the specifications of the charge of violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children case cited on her affidavit, Sunshine Cruz alleged that Cesar Montano raped her last May 12, known to many as Mother's Day.

The affidavit clearly says that Cesar Montano "barged" into Sunshine's house, "violently attacked her, employed physical violence," and then raped her. It also adds that Cesar Montano "continued and still continues" to harass Sunshine Cruz by threatening her with physical harm.


Furthermore, the affidavit also cited Cesar's alleged affair with actress Krista Miller, former co-star of Cesar Montano in one of his movies, along with his "foregoing and other series of philandering and womanizing activities," caused their relationship to fall apart. The affidavit also contained threatening and offensive text messages from Cesar Montano.

Sunshine Cruz also said that Cesar Montano has forcibly taken custody of their young daughters, deprived her access to them, and denied her custody of their three children since July 29.

I am not surprised of the news because there have been previous reports already of their separation and the link to Krista Miller, but the "rape" issue is quite a shocker. I would accept the physical violence as expected cause of separation, but adding a sexually-abused issue between husband and wife is not a pretty scene. It is morally wrong. We do not force ourselves to women, or men, just because we feel the need to dominate our partner.
