Wazzup Pilipinas!
Her Excellency ASec Petronila Garcia, Assistant Secretary for the Office of Middle East and African Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), was the guest of honor and keynote speaker during the Sababa! Beyond Faith ...Israel as a Destination event brought to us by the Israel government, specifically organized by the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and TraveLife, one of Southeast Asia's leading travel and lifestyle magazines.
The event would like to put emphasis on the fact that Israel could also be more than just a pilgrimage site. Israel has many wonderful attractions that could very well make it a preferred tourist choice. Aside from being one of the safest place to visit, it also boasts of having no Visa requirements for the people of the Philippines.
Everyone was convinced that it Israelly swell in Israel!
After some cocktails, the event started of with the playing of the national anthems of the two countries namely the Philippines and Israel. A band was present to play the Israel national anthem. The title of the Israeli national anthem is HaTikvah, which means “The Hope” in Hebrew. It was written in Palestine in the early 1880's by Naftali Herz Imber, a Galician Jew, and then set to music. Hatikva is about the undying hope of the Jewish people, through the long years of exile, that they would someday return to independence in their homeland.
Our charming hosts for that evening were a cute lively pair that kept the night filled with spark and good vibes. Revo and Mae were a delight to watch as they informed everyone what to expect from the event that evening.
President Ferdinand Sarfati gave us an Opening Remarks while His Excellency Menashe Bar-On gave the Ambassador's Welcoming Remarks. Miss Rosemarie Galang, the Chairman for Membership facilitated the introduction of Asec Petronila Garcia, the Keynote speaker, the presentation of the plaque of appreciation and the induction of six new members.
Miss Mae Young presented "Come to Israel, and You Will Never Be The same Again" depicting her previous tour and study at Israel several years ago. She reaffirmed that Israel is an ideal travel destination that will appeal to those who are in search for something new than the traditional places they've been to.
Entertainment was provided by Miss Noelle Cassandra Asia's Harp Angel.
A TraveLlife representative was also given the chance to talk about TraveLife.
