Wazzup Pilipinas!
Congratulations to the casts of the PAMANA docu-musical that pays tribute to Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and Corazon "Cory" Cojuangco Aquino.
The docu-musical tells the story of an ordinary Filipino family burdened by events that transpired all throughout the years especially recounting the life and death of two of our most honored heroes who both inspired a great number of our people to have the courage to freely demonstrate their scared sovereign will.
This is also the first time I realized that "Benigno" means "maganda" and Corazon means "puso". Combine the two and you have a "beautiful heart". That was what the play shared and it struck me hard that they were right.
Bodjie Pascua, Malou de Guzman, Jett Pangan, and Kakki Teodoro played the lead casts and showed exemplary performances. Kudos also to the supporting casts and bit players for all-out spectacular acting.
There was also a cameo role starring the four national guards that stood for many hours beside the remains of former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino during the procession enroute to her final destination.
Another memorable message from the play was that even a small and single "batingaw" bell can accomplish a great deal of tasks only when everyone else will sound that bell the same time with you to produce a noisier and stronger call for change!
The play also shares the sad fate of most of us who had to be away form our families so that we can provide a better future for them. It seems the most preferred choice, if we want to earn a respectable means of living, is to work abroad where the pay is better.
There are many parents who are away from their children because they have to sacrifice for their future.
There are also the people who have their principles and are willing to give up opportunities for luxury just to fight for their beliefs and what they strongly stand for.
Thank you for a stellar performance. I wish that there would be more theatrical masterpieces like these to continue to inspire the people and our country as a whole to stand united and back each other up.
I believe that the Filipino people has a lot of potential to become noble and determined individuals despite the struggles and frustrating conditions. However, we could become a more powerful force to contend with if we all combine our efforts into one single mission of change for the better!
