Filipino Culture VS Japanese Culture

Every country has its own culture. Every country's identity is based on their culture. Culture is defined as the way of life of a group of people--the behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept and are passed along by communication and imitation from one generation to the next. Let us now differentiate the culture of the Filipino people from the culture of the Japanese people.

In some occasions here in the Philippines, we used to wear "Barong Tagalog" for men and "Filipiniana" for the ladies. On the other hand, Japanese wear "Kimono". Kimono is the

Another difference in both culture was the way they greet the elders. Japanese people greet the elders by bowing their heads to pay respect to the elders. But, we Filipinos use "po" and "opo" when talking to our grandparents to show respect and by taking their hand and putting it in our forehead which is called "pagmamano" in Filipino.

Religion is also a big difference between the two countries. Most Filipinos are Roman Catholics. While most of the Japanese people practice Shintoism. Shinto is the indigenous spirituality of Japan and the people of Japan. It is a set of practices, to be carried out diligently, to establish a connection between present day Japan and its ancient past.

Above are some examples of the difference between Filipino and Japanese culture. But, even though we have differences, Japan and the Philippines have a good relationship towards each other.
