The FPPF is holding the 3rd DSLR Videography workshop with Dan Pamintuan on August 18 & 25, 2013 at the FPPF Art Chamber 1 in Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila. Dan Pamintuan is a professional videographer currently directing and producing CameraGEEK TV.
The videography workshop aims to equip the photographer with the technical know-how to produce professional quality videos and films using the modern video-capable digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera. To attend, participant must have completed Basic Photography. Workshop fee is P3,500 for the two sessions.
Required Equipment:
1. Video-capable DSLR
2. 64-bit Laptop, Mac or Windows
3. Earphones

DAY 1 – Familiarizing yourself with DSLR Videography
1. Identifying what type of videography genre / field for you.
2. Choosing the appropriate DSLR
3. Identifying accessories and other related gears to produce professional looking videos
4. Knowing the appropriate camera angles, composition, and movements to tell a story.
5. Practicum (Shooting a feature presentation of any topic that interests the participant)
DAY 2 – Video Editing (Using Adobe Premiere Pro)
1. Understanding the basic software / tools available for editing your videos
2. Importing your clips from the CF/SD card
3. From Raw to Final – Cut/Trim/Drag to timeline to form a coherent story
4. Adding VO (voice over), soundtrack, and other sound effects
5. Titling, and application of graphics overlay to enhance your basic titling
6. Practicum (Editing the feature presentation)
Dan Pamintuan is the director and department head of D-SHEP TV PRODUCTION based in Cainta, Rizal. He has created video content for special and corporate events for clients like Unilab Philippines, Roche Philippines, Deutsche Bank Knowledge Services and Pixel Corps. He also contributed to several TV productions like Journo (ABC5), View from the Top (ANC), The Vizconde Massacre Feature, Cheche Lazaro Presents (TFC), Darkest Nights and ArTalk: Beyond Entertainment. He has pioneered, and is currently directing two TV shows: “Camera Geek TV” which started in September 2011 and “Grandest Day!” which launched last August 2012.
