Wazzup Pilipinas!
100 Miles Cafe aims to be an ideal venue for the gathering of active people over food and drinks. It boasts of having an informal local museum housing memorabilia of marathons, ultra-marathons and other endurance events like the Milo Marathon, 300 Mandirigma, Runner's World 21K Challenge, Men's Health Urbanathlon, World Vision Run, Century 5i50 Triathlon, and other sponsored runs.
Their Facebook page is full of updates about such events as well as topics about, food, health, fitness and great facts about runners that will surely be an interesting read for enthusiasts and like-minded individuals who dabble into fitness and sports.
They've designed the place to be the preferred choice of runners mainly because it's probably owned by runners themselves. That I still need to confirm, though. But based from their posts on Facebook, they sure know a lot about the sport and follow everything about running.
This may really be the perfect place for runners whether they'll be participating in a 21 kilometer run or a Triathlon, they'll definitely need to carbo-load to get the much-needed carbs and energy! Dining at their restaurant could also be their way of rewarding themselves for their accomplishment after a successful run.
I grabbed a few photos from their Facebook page so I could share to you some of the great food to expect at 100 Miles Cafe which was incidentally one of the venues where we had a meeting for the second run of our Laguna Blogging Summit to be held on October 15 and 16 at the Cultural Center of Laguna. It will be a grand social media event highlighted by top-notch speakers who are experts in their own fields of interest. You may check out more about the Laguna Blogging Summit from http://www.labsph.com.
Below are some of the sumptuous source of carb and protein ideal for every runner's need:
"How about biting into their Tuna Melt Sandwich? Carbs and protein in one plate, to get you started on the road to your next training phase." The photos itself are already delicious to look at, wait until you've tasted it and you might just forget you have a next scheduled run taking place the next days.
"Can you guess what food this is? This is perfect for you - if you are participating in a Triathlon this weekend. You definitely need to carbo-load to tackle the 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-kilometer bike, and 10-kilometer run. You need the energy and the carbs!" No doubt this is their yummy Lasagna that is much better than the ones you'll find in some fastfood chains.
"How about dropping by the cafe and eating their 100% Beef Burger, with sweet and crispy potato chips? You get the protein (beef burger) and the carbs (sweet)". Yes! They proudly named it 100% to give you full satisfaction in every bite.
"Whether you ran 21 kilometers, or swam, biked and ran in a Triathlon, you all deserve a slice of their 100 Miles Pizza (or two). Yep, that's egg on their pizza. Try one now!". This is my first time to see a sunny-side up egg in the middle of a pizza. Now, that's something extra different that you don't see everyday!
"Your body is still repairing itself and you need more protein. You can't train for your next race if you aren't fully recovered." Then go grab some of this seafood dish for a perfect source of protein to revive you into full running power.

Let me also share to you what my fellow blogger Ivan Saldajeno wrote on his blog:
"If you always drop by the Bonifacio Global City in Makati (Yes! It's part of Makati City once again.) for a jogging session, you may ask, "What's a good place to take a rest after a tiring run?" Check out 100 Miles Cafe along The Fort Strip.Located right at the heart of the bustling commercial hub, the cafe and restaurant serves not just the runners but also the non-runners coming off a day full of work.
As you enter the restaurant, you will see a collection of the singlets used in various local runs and the running event route maps at the counter. Also, the service crew will be quick enough to serve you your order once it is done. Oh! They also wear running gear.
100 Miles also has a seminar room where you can set your corporate meetings. In fact, 100 Miles was the place where the 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit was softly launched.
So whether you're a runner who's looking for a chillout after a tiring run or work or if you're looking for a lively meeting place, just come to the 100 Miles Cafe along The Fort Strip in Makati City."
It seems my fellow blogger and friend was really impressed about 100 Miles Cafe. I'm definitely putting it in my list of favorite food establishments.
So wait no further, drop by 100 Miles Cafe now! It's the perfect place to indulge and load up on great food!
