Mel Cortez is the community owner of PhotoMarket Philippines. A 14,000 strong Facebook group created and founded on February 2012. The group is aimed to market anything related to tphotography and videography industry. It serves as a vehicle for buying, selling, swapping, posting industry related gadgets and gizmos.
Mel is a former photo-journalist of BusinessWorld and the managing director of DecisiveMoments Photography. He is a recipient of the Diploma in Photojournalism at the Ateneo de Manila University and a special lecturer at the Dela Salle- College of St. Benilde AB Photography Program. He is the founding chairman of the Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines established in 1997.
