Wazzup Pilipinas!
I recently attended the launch of the mobile-friendly website of Property Company of Friends, Inc., more popularly known as PRO-FRIENDS, one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in the Philippines, and was established by a group of dynamic individuals who espoused a common vision of creating communities and transforming lives by providing affordable, good quality homes.
What was admirable with this event was that instead of going directly to discuss about their new mobile site, they included a short seminar at the start of the program that talks about Mobile Marketing. The seminar discussed the current and emerging technologies and trends - of how the world has gone mobile and continuously advancing towards more enhanced technologies that support mobile access. Mobile marketing access is therefore ongoing and is perceived in the future as the way people will gather information to help them in their decision making.
It was such a disappointment that my colleagues were not able to make it due to worry of getting caught in the rain. Earlier that day, there were several announcement of class suspension due to weather concerns, and many decided not to get caught again in another traffic jam or get stranded due to the Metro Manila floods.
The speaker, Mr. Mon Cayabyab, agreed with me when I asked his opinion if he submits to the fact that blogs have gone very influential as the main source of information of people that go online. It thus makes bloggers a group to reckon with in terms of consumer marketing. Google loves blogs, and the people tend to click the top links that Google shares with them. Bloggers do share a very important role in disseminating important, unbiased and accurate information to the public.
Companies now make use of bloggers, or more appropriately should be called as the online journalists or media, to share or market their products and services online. They also need to embrace the fact that everyone has gone mobile and access information using their mobile gadgets may it be smartphones, tablets, or phablets.
Many companies have made their site mobile friendly, and everyone else should jump in if they want to take advantage of the global phenomenon where everyone is now online and mobile. It's a fast changing and developing world that you need to catch up to stay competitive and survive.
If your site is not mobile-friendly then the customer might lose patience in browsing your site and just refer to the competitor. Chances are, they will sign up with the one which gave them better information access.
PRO-FRIENDS now makes scouting for your next home while waiting in line
at the grocery store or while commuting to work possible and easier with
the launch of their new mobile site at profriends.com.
“We launched this mobile site to cater to our tech savvy market who are always on the go. We want to be more accessible to them by becoming more visible in new media platforms such as this, which they can easily access through their smartphones or tablets any time of the day,” said Richard Tay, PRO-FRIENDS vice president for marketing.
The mobile-friendly site allows the user to zoom in and out of the pages, a specific feature for mobile devices. The mobile site makes sending inquiries easier as easy as tapping an icon. The auto call feature allows the user to reach a customer service representative by just pressing the call icon while the auto email feature allows for sending a quick message to a customer service representative without the hassle of typing an email address. And a more prominent social media integration tool allows the user to share on Facebook and Twitter, making the selection of a new home easier with shared input from people who matter.
Earlier this year, PRO-FRIENDS launched its QR (Quick Response) code campaign, which allows a user to access the specific website for its different projects such as Ilustrata Residences, Parc Regency Residences, Lancaster Estates, Bellefort Estates, and The Palms Lakeshore. The QR codes can be found in various PRO-FRIENDS ads or posters.
To download a QR code scanner, tap on the search bar in the app store for iPhone/iPad or Google Play app for Android devices, look for preferred QR code scanner, then click install.
BTW, PRO-FRIENDS also has an ongoing contest where you can send in a video presenting the person that you think deserve to have a new home and PRO-FRIENDS will award a house and lot to him or her.
They showed us a few samples of actual entries competing for the chance to win a new house and lot. They were actually of amazing quality and tear-jerking as well. If they showed more or a longer video I swear I could have shed a tear right there and then.
The one who submits an entry will also get the chance to win 50k. That's a great deal already, and it will surely be a charitable act if you could help provide a home for the less fortunate or needy just by submitting a short video production.
