How do we define summer? – A time in a student’s life to rest or to travel? An opportunity for us to learn something timely? Or to just have fun and spend quality time with friends and family?

Well for me, summer is a time to enjoy simple things in life without spending too much money.

Some people might have traveled to different places with their families, some just spent their time at home, watching movies, playing games and surfing the net. But some people, like me won’t just allow summer vacation to go to waste. Every day is an opportunity to have fun, to get out under the sun and to accomplish a thing or two you can’t normally do because you are too busy with school works.

So how was my summer vacation? – Was it fun? Was it worthwhile? Definitely, YES! So How did I enjoy it and spent my time wisely? It’s simple, do the things you will enjoy and always go for it. It’s not actually the “things” you will enjoy, it’s the moment with your friends, while doing those things, you will enjoy.

These photos were taken from Kuala Bay Resort in Cardona Rizal. Instead of just swimming, we took a stroll around the resort and witnessed the captivating scenery of the said place. It was fun to travel and to relax at the same time and by going to a resort you can do both.

As I have said before, having fun doesn’t require spending too much money. Like in these pictures, we only bought what our budget can take. We often buy cheap foods, go to a friend’s house and watch movies or to just travel without spending. It’s just simple but it is way more fun than having fun on your own knowing you’re now lacking of money. It’s actually the thought that matters. As they all say anyway “The best things are free.”

They were the ones who need my time the most. My presence is a gift to them. So I dedicate my summer vacation to them. You can’t find any other people like your family who love you so much. That’s why it is just right to always be with them during you free time because when school already come, you’ll be more focused on your school works and less time for your family. So whenever you have the chance. Grab it! Like I did, and I regret nothing this summer because I know it did not go to waste.
