Flamingoes Garden Resort at Marikina Heights

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Summer is the time for all of us to bond and have fun together with our loved ones. Since we successfully finished another school year, we have the right to pamper ourselves for the hard work we exerted. We must be proud of ourselves because another academic year has ended and we did passed for the next academic year. Some says summer is fun but some said it's boring. Let's find why.

Most of us, stayed at home and some went to there vacation houses. I'm "considered" to be classified as one of those who stayed at home. I did play the computer. Surfed the net. Chat with random people and many more to pass time.

I can say that I'm "considered" as one of those who stayed at home because I had visited some places and considered it to be included in my summer. My former classmates (from my section II-Linnaeus) and I went to Flamingos Garden Resort.

Honestly, it was not planned. Our plan, supposedly, was to swim in Rainforest in Pasig, Philippines but the swimming pool was closed that day because it's the inauguration day of Rainforest. The spirit and morale of some fell and we were forced to go home but some of us were determined to go on with an adventure. We rented a computer near the park and we did a quick search.

We found several resorts with low entrance fee but they are far away from here. The closest was at Marikina Heights. We walked under the scorching sun to find a cab to ride on. Most of them had a passenger until we encountered an empty cab. We popped in a cab then started the adventure of a lifetime.

The said resort was in Marikina Heights, I believe, but no one of us know how to get there. We asked for guidance from local people there until we reached the destination. All of us had that sweet feeling when you did something that you know you can't. We rented a small cabin there and wear our swimming attires. We swam there for a moment until we got bored and decided to go home.

Another adventure came---we didn't know exactly how to go back to Pasig City. We just traced our way when we got there. When we saw the sign "Pasig Palengke" out nervousness dropped. We safely went back home. Thank God no one was hurt badly.

Engaging in a unplanned adventure can be fun and dangerous at the same time. Seeking guidance can be a big help in finding what we are looking for. Pray to God your safety and seek guidance from Him. Don't forget to give Him thanks. That's my summer. Hope you also had a fun summer with your loved ones!
