Wazzup Pilipinas!
Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) recently met its valued partners to honor them and prepare them for a more aggressive Fiscal Year.
It held a series of events to honor the company’s top trade partners and to prepare them for a more aggressive 2013 fiscal year. With the theme ‘Shifting Into High Gear’, the ‘kick-offs’ were held at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Solaire Resort and Casino in Pasay, and Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
EPC’s President/Country Manager, Toshimitsu Tanaka, said that the company expects positive growth especially in the printer market. “Printer demand in emerging countries is growing not only in retail but also in the corporate segment. Inkjet products such as the Epson L-Series, which provides customers with the lowest printing cost*, are especially in high demand,” said Tanaka.
Recently, Epson shared information from the International Data Corporation (IDC)** confirming that Epson dominated the market for Inkjet Printers (IJP) in 2012 with a commanding 34.4% value share. The figure denotes a rise in Epson IJP value share from 26.8% to 34.4% from the preceding year.
The 2012 IDC Report also authenticated that for the Serial Dot Matrix (SIDM) printer category, Epson has remained unbeatable in the Philippines with a 90.3% value share. For several decades, Epson has been the undisputed leader in the dot matrix printer segment in the country.
Epson is also taking steps to dominate the Philippine projector market. Back in February, the company launched new 3D and interactive projector models for home and business use that push the standards of current projector technology offered to the public.
“We have been the No.1 projector maker in the world for 12 straight years***. We hope to continue to exceed the expectations of our customers with high-precision, energy saving products that provide real value,” added Tanaka. Epson’s 3LCD projectors provide 3 times brighter colors compared to similarly-priced 1-chip DLP projectors of competing brands.
