Bestest Is Better Than The Best
Wazzup Pilipinas!
If you are still thinking that a student can never be so busy and much more productive, well now I’m telling you. You are so wrong. Because I just had the busiest, most memorable and the "bestest" summer in my whole life.
When I say "bestest", it’s better than the best. It exceeded all my expectations and lead me a lot of realization. Wanna know what I did for the whole summer? Curious? Guess. Maybe you’d think I went malling and malling and buying and shopping over and over again. Or maybe I spent the whole summer visiting the different landmarks and touring the beautiful places in the Phillipines. NOT. I would not even count that as productive. What I did was a whole different level of fun. I practically spent the whole summer attending summer class, reviewing for the CETs at LSC and going to school for the summer training in order to become a CAT officer.
Here’s my hectic summer sched.
April 2-31 (Mon-Fri. 1-5pm)- Review for CETs at LSC located at Ortigas
April 10-May 15 (Mon-Fri. 1-3 pm)- Summer Class
May 23-May 28 (6am-6pm) - Summer Training
What?! In what way does that kind of summer count as exciting? Ironic isn’t it? Well, I wasn’t trying to be sarcastic. I DID have so much fun over the summer.
Notice that my Review was overlapped with the summer class sched. Since my review was a priority, I only attended like, 10 days of the summer class. My summer classmates were already halfway and I spent May 2-May 15 trying to catch up with them. Plus, I barely knew any of them. Fortunately, they were all friendly it turns out. Haha.
But despite the fact that I have a schedule jam-packed with requirements and everything, I still had time with my friends. At times, after the Review, we’d go to Robinsons Galleria (the nearest mall at the aforementioned review center) for an hour or two. My summer class friends and I would go having movie marathon at one’s house.
My Saturdays were spent at the house of a friend to make up with the time I haven’t spent with them. And just right before the summer training, we celebrated Arjude’s birthday at K-TV bar. We sang up all night and it was so much fun. Oh, not to mention, the swimming we had with my fellow CAT officers just right after our COCC graduation. It was a blast.
My favorite part of the leisure time of my summer was when Tracy and I went to the malls just right after the summer training to buy our school supplies. What we did was more than that. We went to the clothing section and tried to fit clothes that we had intention of buying.
My summer experience, although not spent for fun and fun alone, is far better than the usual enjoyment. The busy summer schedule allowed me so much time to socialize and make new friends. I got to deal with a lot of people over the summer. I was able to learn deeper in the fields of teamwork and diligence as a whole. It taught me how to manage my time and prioritize.
